It seems like a match made in Hollywood heaven: Steven Spielberg directing Daniel Day-Lewis in a biopic about America's greatest leader, Abraham Lincoln. No way something this cool could be real, right?
Well, it is real, as "Lincoln" arrives in limited release this week.
Let the Oscar race officially begin.
And as if the combined resumes of Spielberg, Day-Lewis and Lincoln weren't enough, "Lincoln" also features a veritable who's who of top notch acting talent, including Oscar winners Sally Field and Tommy lee Jones, Oscar nominees Jackie Earle Haley and David Strathairn and, of yeah, the hottest movie star alive, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Just to name a few.
There have been a lot of big movies this year and there are still more to come. But they just don't make them any bigger than "Lincoln." It opens wide next weekend, but if you can see it now, take it from us: You won't regret it.
Would Honest Abe lead you astray?
