Everyone knows the three most inspiring words in the English language aren't "I love you" -- they're "nyuk nyuk nyuk." That's right, those legendary chowderheads of yesteryear, "The Three Stooges," are back in business on the big screen, courtesy of "Dumb and Dumber" masterminds the Farrelly brothers.
Larry (Sean Hayes), Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos), and Curly (Will Sasso) star in three shorts involving a murder plot, a reality show, and an attempt to save their childhood orphanage while inflicting as much damage to others and themselves in the process. Larry David isn't exactly known for putting on crazy costumes, weird make-up, or elaborate characters. But that's about to change.
According to Deadline, David has signed on to "Stooges" in the role of Mother Mengele. She is the unfortunate lady in charge of the orphanage where the Stooges grow up and hone their craft of craziness.

So far it's been a wild parade of stars lining up for their chance to poke, prod, and eyeball-doink each other to hilarious effect in Peter and Bobby Farrelly's spiffy new rendition of "The Three Stooges." The Farrellys have noted in the past their intent to cast one person first and then build the rest of the trio of Moe, Larry, and Curly around that individual. Now, in a glorious case of casting to-type, Canadian cueball Will Sasso seems to be their man as Deadline reports that MADtv's James Gandolfini lookalike will now whack dudes in the head with his hand or heavy objects as Curly Howard, as opposed to just having them whacked as Tony Soprano. As Peter and Bobby Farrelly make the interview rounds for their new gross-out comedy "Hall Pass" they're dropping some tantalizing tidbits in anticipation of finally getting to make their "Three Stooges" flick.
Despite word that the director brothers are looking at a wide range of unknowns, a surprising array of celebrities are lining up to bring the nyuk nyuk to the contemporary take on the Stooges.
According to the Boston Herald, the Farrelly Brothers are sifting through such chowderheads as their "Kingpin" star Woody Harrelson, Justin Timberlake, or golfing buddy Larry David for Larry, "MADtv” funnyman Will Sasso as Curly, and Johnny Knoxville, Hank Azaria, and former officially cast Benicio Del Toro are all still in the running for ringleader Moe.
