We're all familiar with Shel Silverstein's classic children's book, "The Giving Tree". A young boy befriends a nearby tree, and as the boy grows older, the tree generously gives him whatever he wants and needs, including apples to sell and branches to play with. Eventually, the tree becomes evil and attacks the boy to the gruesome death, until… Wait, what?
Well, that's one way to interpret it. Or at least what the folks over at Funny or Die had in mind when they released the parody trailer for a new film adaptation of the book. "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey recently sat down with MTV and revealed that his career was apparently destined to take the path of the lycan (that's the cool "Underworld" way to refer to a werewolf). Posey may now be best known for his role as Scott McCall on the hit television series, but a few years back he actually auditioned for the role of Jacob Black in "Twilight" ... a part he lost to his pal and number-one rival, Taylor Lautner.
Check out Posey in this clip from MTV's "This Is How I Made It." "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" (starring Taylor Lautner ... sorry, Tyler!) opens Nov. 16.
Are "Teen Wolf" and tacos two great tastes that taste great together? We're about to find out, since MTV's lycanthropic heartthrob Tyler Posey has signed on to star in a new comedy all about this tasty treat.
In the aptly named "Taco Shop," Posey plays a guy who decides to grab life by the tortillas, quit his job slinging someone else's tacos, and open his own business. However, his delicious dream is threatened when a high falutin' taco truck that all the food snobs love sets up shop on the other side of the street.
Posey will costar with Eric Roberts, Carlos Alazraqui ("Reno 911!"), comic Felipe Esparza, Laura Harring ("Gossip Girl," "Inland Empire"), Parvesh Cheena ("Outsourced"), and Paula Jai Parker, with Joaquin Perea directing. Get More »
