Nicholas Sparks has a well-deserved reputation as the master of the romantic drama, thanks to films like "The Notebook" and new release "Safe Haven." Last year's movie "The Vow" has everything you would expect from a Nicholas Sparks film: hot actors (Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams), a wife in a coma, lingering amnesia and the joy of love rediscovered. Just one thing -- somehow, amazingly, Sparks didn't actually write it.
Yeah, we're surprised, too. So in honor of "The Vow," we hereby present our list of the Top Five Movies You'd Think Were Written by Nicholas Sparks. Get More »
This week: After sitting out the previous installment, Kate Beckinsale returns as fanged Death Dealer Selene in "Underworld: Awakening," which costars India Eisely, Michael Ealy, Theo James and Stephen Rea.
Also new this week is the comedy "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," the romantic drama "The Vow," and the limited-edition Blu-ray debut of 1959's "Journey to the Center of the Earth." Get More »
This week's box office winner is still up in the air thanks to a three way virtual tie for first place, with "The Vow," "Safe House" and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" battling it out for the top spot.
Holdovers "Safe House" ($23.9 million) and "The Vow" ($23.6 million) appeared to have a slight edge over newcomer "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" ($22 million), but with the figures still being estimates at this point, any one of the three could emerge victorious when all is said and done.

Holidays aren't known for being divisive, but Valentine's Day is the rare exception -- your outlook on chocolate hearts and long-stemmed roses might vary wildly, depending on relationship status.
But whether you're madly in love, a satisfied single, or planning to bah-humbug your face off all day long, there's one thing we can agree on: movie stars having sexy time is just plain nice to look at.
So in honor of Cupid's arguably awesome arrow, let's look at the some of the hottest P.D.A. in film.
"The Vow" is officially a wow, as the Rachel McAdams romcom about a woman who develops amnesia and has to fall in love with her husband again destroyed the pre-Valentine's Day box office, earning $41.7 over it's first weekend of release.
"Safe House," which stars Denzel Washington as a CIA operative gone rogue, also opened huge, taking in an impressive $39.3 million, while "Journey 2" and "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace 3D" both topped the $20 million mark in one of the busiest box office weekends in February history.

Rachel McAdams (as Paige) and Channing Tatum (Leo), two actors that are no strangers to romantic films, hit the silver screen together this weekend in "The Vow," and you know they look good.
In a movie that highlights the meanings of "in sickness and in health," Leo is on a mission to make his wife, Paige, fall in love with him again after she suffers severe memory loss following a car accident. Sure, the film is moving, but between our tears, we couldn't help but notice some of the awesome fashion choices both characters made.
She may not be able to remember her husband, but Paige totally doesn't forget how to dress.

As in real life, weddings in movies can be so romantic or, in some cases, so tragic or so tragically humorous. Still, at the end of the day (or as the credits roll), it's always great to see a bride in her gown and guests getting down.
Thank you notes aren't necessary.
Even from the pics taken at the Hollywood premiere, you can tell "The Vow" is going to be at least a three-hanky tearjerker.
Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams looked ridiculously cute together as they stepped out on the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre to celebrate the release of their highly anticipated romantic drama, which follows a happily married couple whose idyllic life is torn asunder after a car accident leaves the wife with severe memory loss, prompting her husband -- who's now more or less a complete stranger to her -- to woo her all over again. Sigh!
We promise you'll love our gallery of pics from the premiere. "The Vow" hits theaters on Feb. 10.
Seriously, who doesn't love Channing Tatum? Apparently, no one.
I've been a big fan since I saw him twice in 2006 — in the indie drama "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" and the teen comedy "She's the Man." Needless to say, I was impressed by his acting chops, but even more impressed (and thankful for) the amount of time he spends on-screen without his shirt.
When Channing filmed "The Son of No One" in New York in March 2010, I made sure to stop by the set a couple times in order to meet him. The difference between meeting him then and now was drastic! Then, I was the only fan around. This week, when I stood outside "Live With Kelly" to catch him as he promoted "The Vow," I was crammed into a corral with more than 50 other young girls ready to drool and swoon in his face! Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum as a married couple? Swoon. Rachel and Channing as a married couple who fall in love twice? Sob!
McAdams can do anything -- comedy, drama, getting hit by a bus (Mean Girls!), you name it. And Tatum is starting to really get into "serious actor" mode lately... and is looking like he definitely has the chops for it.
Together, they're destined to be one of the hottest screen couples of 2012... and perhaps ever. Get More »
