A Crash Course in Stephenie Meyer Geometry
Open Road
Stephenie Meyer has journeyed away from the "Twilight" zone to create her first desert-based sci-fi tale with "The Host," the Andrew Niccol-directed adaptation for which hits theaters this weekend. Summit
Even those among the "Twilight" faithful must admit there are some moments in the film series that were made of pure cheese.

'New Moon' Director Chris Weitz Jumps On Post-Apocalyptic Train With YA Book Trilogy
It seems like everyone's heading into post-apocalyptic story territory these days.
The latest to join in on the thrill of worldly desiccation is "The Golden Compass" and "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" director Chris Weitz, who'll be releasing a trilogy of young adult novels with "Twilight" publisher Little Brown Books for Young Readers.
Weitz will kick off his literary career in the spring of 2014 with the first installment "The Young World," a tale of kids in New York City who survive a massive catastrophe which rids the world of anyone outside the teenage age range -- a plot which at the outset sounds an awful lot like an an inside-out version of "The Hunger Games."
