The ShortList Online Film Festival: And the Winner Is...

Featuring a dozen of the most acclaimed short films from the worldwide festival circuit, this year's ShortList Online Film Festival was the inaugural event in a new tradition which streams short films to online audiences. Winners were announced at a special live ceremony in Los Angeles last night, and the Jury Prize went to "Fishing Without Nets" by director Cutter Hodiern, which was cited "for its strong technique, stunning cinematography and for taking us on an eye opening journey to a world rarely depicted on film."
Sponsored by The Wrap, in conjunction with Film.com, NextMovie.com and MTV, The ShortList's Jury Prize was selected by a panel of industry experts which included film and television star Zachary Quinto and the Sundance Institute's Feature Film Program Founding Director, Michelle Satter. Get More »

The ShortList Online Short Film Festival Announces 12 Finalists

In conjunction with TheWrap, NextMovie.com and MTV.com, Film.com is happy to announce the 12 finalists for inaugural edition of The Short List, the world's premiere online short film festival.
Featuring some of the most decorated festival favorites from around the world, the films of The Short List are competing in three categories: Animation, Fiction and Documentary. Viewers can watch the films for free and cast votes for their favorites on the official website for The Short List at any time between now and Sept. 4, when the winners will be announced during a special live event in Los Angeles.
