Fresh off her success as the sunshine-loving mother in "The Kids Are All Right," Julianne Moore is going back to her darker roots.
The ginger beauty has been cast alongside Jeff Bridges in "The Seventh Son," a horror flick about a young boy training to be an exorcist in the 1700s who runs into trouble when he's tricked into releasing the most evil witch in the world.

Alex Pettyfer Feigning 'Hunger Games' Ignorance?
Alex Pettyfer has built his burgeoning career on the backs of young adult novels -- the British actor has already appeared in "Stormbreaker," "Beastly" and "I am Number Four," which opens Feb. 18. All signs point to at least one more YA adaptation, but good luck getting the 20-year-old troublemaker to admit which one.
"I'm not doing either at the moment. I'm not attached, I just got the offers," he tells NextMovie, regarding "The Mortal Instruments" and "The Seventh Son" (formerly known as "The Last Apprentice").

Jeff Bridges to School Alex Pettyfer in 'The Seventh Son'
The race for the next big young adult fantasy franchise is in full swing, and one team just nabbed the A-List gravitas of Jeff Bridges.
According to Just Jared, the Oscar-winning actor has joined a big screen version of "The Seventh Son," based on the novel "The Last Apprentice" by Joseph Delaney. "Number Four" Alex Pettyfer and Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence are in talks to join him.
Bridges will play The Spook, a warrior of dark magic who takes on Tom Ward (potentially Pettyfer) as an apprentice and teaches him how to fight off ghosts, witches and the like. If all is right in the world, Bridges will end up growing a beard crazier and more mangled than his "Tron Legacy" look. Get More »
