In films like "Blood Diamond," "Tears of the Sun" and "Casino Royale" African men are typically depicted as mindless, machine gun-toting thug soldiers and bad guys so the handsome white American lead (Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Daniel Craig, etc.) can look cool as he takes them all out single-handedly.

This has been the "sensitive" Hollywood way of including some black faces in movies for awhile now, but it turns out actual African men are onto it and are speaking out to counter the negative stereotypes in a new campaign from advocacy group Mama Hope. Get More »
