Sean Astin, Taryn Manning Join Rose McGowan in 'Napa'

A slew of new faces has been added to the cast of Rose McGowan's next project, "Napa." Well, they're familiar faces, but faces nonetheless!

Variety reports that Sean "Samwise Gamgee" Astin will be joining Taryn Manning, Kevin Pollak and Johnathon Schaech in the indie thriller. Manning, who first broke through in "8 Mile," recently starred in "The Perfect Age of Rock 'n' Roll"; Schaech previously shared the screen with McGowan in Gregg Araki's hyper-violent and sexy '95 film "The Doom Generation." "There are two movies that really stand out for me. The first is 'Purple Rain.'

"I mean, it was Prince! It was music! It was just, like, a totally awesome experience. Prince was my very first concert ever. My mom took me when I was five, and then she covered my eyes with her hands the whole time. I could still see though. It didn't work!

Prince became such an inspiration to me after that, so 'Purple Rain' really made a lasting impression.
