As we count the minutes until Eliana Girard or Tiffany Maher and Cyrus "Glitch" Spencer or Chehon Wespi-Tschopp are crowned "America's Favorite Dancer" on tonight's season finale of "So You Think You Can Dance," we thought it might be nice to pass the time in style.
And, by style, we mean all kinds of dance styles in all kinds of movies.
Some of our favorite all-stars and other "SYTYCD" contestants have landed on the big screen over the years, and we're sure hoping some of the Season 9 gang will soon join them.

"I really love 'Seven Pounds' with Will Smith. I remember that was a movie where I could not stop crying when I was watching it. And I think just the fact that the thought behind his whole process, just really wanting to make people's lives greater, there's so much beauty in that, and I have huge respect for that.
"I just really enjoyed it and connected to that. So, I love movies that leave you a better person."
"Step Up" isn't backing down.
In the wake of the horrific shooting during a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" that left 12 dead and 58 injured, critics are urging the studio behind the snappy dance flicks to edit out a scene that contains eerie echoes of that tragic night — but the powers-that-be are declaring that scene will stay in the picture.

Kathryn McCormick first danced her way into our hearts as the third place finalist on Season 6 of "So You Think You Can Dance," and she continued to dazzle us with her contemporary dancing as an All-Star on Season 7 of the Fox dance competition. As if learning a couple crazy-hard dance routines every week weren't enough for McCormick, she has now taken on a new challenge: dancing and acting as the lead in "Step Up Revolution."
In this fourth installment of the "Step Up" franchise, McCormick plays Emily, a young woman who lands in Miami with dreams of becoming a professional dancer. Soon, she falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), the leader of a dance crew called The Mob. When Emily's father (Peter Gallagher) decides to turn The Mob's neighborhood into a commercial development, the couple must choose between their love for each other and staying loyal to their respective families. Plus, there's no shortage of the spectacular dance routines we've come to know and love from this series.
McCormick let her feet rest for a bit to talk to us about her first movie role, her acting dreams and who she thinks is going to win this season of "So You Think You Can Dance." Get More »

Among all of these big movies are 15 up-and-coming stars who will be heating up the summer. Some of these are people you've seen on TV, and some you've heard on the radio. All of them are quickly on the rise to silver-screen stardom.
