No one will deny: the power of "Twilight" is strong. The franchise possesses the uncanny ability to turn relatively unknown young actors into the next big thing. First it was Robert Pattinson, then it was Taylor Lautner, but now a new face is on the rise: Xavier Samuels.
Samuels was last seen on the hunt in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," as the bloodthirsty vampire Riley, and now he's spinning that time in the limelight into bigger and flashier roles.
The budding Australian star has just signed on for "Drift," reports Variety, co-starring in the surfing drama with another It-Guy from down under, Sam Worthington. The two will play a pair of brothers in the '70s who open a surf-wear shop and turn it into the biggest thing since sliced bread.
