Once upon a time (well, a few hours ago) in a land far, far away (London, England, to be specific), the stars of "Snow White and the Hunstman" gathered to show off their finery at the world premiere of this summer's fairy tale extravaganza.
Check out the gallery for pics of the lovely Kristen Stewart (Snow White), Charlize Theron (Queen Ravenna), Sam Claflin (Prince William), Chris Hemsworth (the titular Hunstman) and assorted friends as they walked the red carpet at Leicester Square.
"Snow White and the Huntsman" arrives in theaters June 1, and everyone will live happily ever after.
They say that truth is stranger than fiction, which may be why some of Hollywood's most unbelievable films are those that claim to be based on a true story. But no matter how unlikely the plot of the upcoming, supposedly true horror film "The Quiet Ones" is, there's at least one thing about it that we're sure is true: Sam Claflin is going to be totally rad in it.
After all, keeping it real is what he does best. Get More »
MTV's own Josh Horowitz sits down with Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin to discuss a fairy tale (and Hollywood blockbuster) like no other on "MTV First: Snow White and the Huntsman." Tune in at 7:56 p.m. ET to catch an exclusive clip from the film and watch as the Four Thespians (as opposed to the Seven Dwarves) describe their experiences in making the movie that gives Snow White a sword and a suit of armor.
"Snow White and the Huntsman" opens June 1.
To say we're excited for "Snow White and the Huntsman," which hits theaters on June 1, would be a huge understatement.
It's a classic fairy tale gone dark, complete with a gorgeous evil queen played by a totally diabolical-looking Charlize Theron and a pair of strapping fellas in Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin.
And then, of course, there's the Bella of the ball herself, Kristen Stewart.
Needless to say, we're psyched every time we get a little gander at what this film's going to look like. We figured you might feel the same, so we went ahead and created this gallery of all the "Snow White and the Huntsman" photos released so far.
As long as Johnny Depp is willing to smear on the black eyeliner and dress up in pirate drag to reprise his Oscar-nominated role of Captain Jack Sparrow, Disney will continue churning out "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies for all ye maties.
"On Stranger Tides" -- the fourth movie in the series and the first to be shot in 3-D -- made over $1 billion worldwide and featured the return of Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa and Keith Richards as Jack's father. Franchise regulars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley didn't hop on board for this adventure, leaving all the treasure-hunting to Ian McShane as Blackbeard, Penélope Cruz as Blackbeard's daughter Angelica, and Sam Claflin as Philip Swift. San Diego Comic-Con attendees got a special treat on Saturday when Universal unveiled the first official looks at the four main characters in "Snow White and the Huntsman."
She may have eight of them (yes, eight), but it looks like Snow White doesn't need any dwarves (or a vampire boyfriend) to look after her as Kristen Stewart dons a suit of armor and carries a mean-looking sword in next summer's fairy tale.
The starlet confessed she "gave the old chest a nice pounding" when she first donned her costume. Get More »
"My favorite movie is probably 'The Goonies' because of the adventure of finding One-Eyed Willy's ship and the treasure.
"When I was a kid, I had a group of friends that all believed in each other. 'The Goonies' really was my childhood; and, now that I am in a pirate film, it really has come full circle. It made me realize how lucky I am."
Sam Claflin can currently be seen in theaters as missionary Philip Swift in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
Sam Claflin is one of the few actors who seems as genuinely charming offscreen as he is on-screen in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" (opening everywhere May 20). In the fourth "Pirates" adventure, the 24-year-old Brit plays Philip Swift, a brave young missionary who falls for and tries to protect a beautiful mermaid while Captain Jack (Johnny Depp) and company search for the Fountain of Youth.
So is Claflin closer to missionary or mischievous in real life? "There are elements of both in me," he says. "During my high school years, I was always the kid trying to break up the fights. I enjoy drinking—I don't mean to sound like an alcoholic—but I enjoy an exciting life. That's not to say that Philip doesn't lead one, but there are probably things that he won't do that I would." As you set sail aboard Disney's brand-new fourquel "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," you will see many old friends returning, including Captain Barbossa, Mr. Gibbs, and, of course, the one-and-only Jack Sparrow ("I believe there should be a 'Captain' in there somewhere.")
However, unlike the previous trilogy of pirate jaunts, this latest trip following in the footsteps of Ponce de León is something of a stand-alone adventure, including many fresh faces both good and evil, alive and undead, and all as duplicitous as a slippery snake.
How can you tell one greasy Pirate from another? With our handy guide, that's how! Get More »
