Via MTV News — With only weeks to go before "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" hits theaters, it seems that anticipation to once again watch Katniss Everdeen brave the arena and the vicious competition inside is at an all-time high. And not to push an already excited fanbase over the edge, but MTV has some good news that just might do it.
This Sunday, November 17, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, "MTV's Catching Fire Fan Tribute" will set MTV ablaze. The all-new, televised special will feature interviews with cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Jena Malone and Sam Claflin. The stars will be answering questions from the fans, sharing secrets from behind the scenes, playing games to see if any of the competitiveness from the movie rubbed off on them.
"MTV's Catching Fire Fan Tribute" will be hosted by MTV News' Josh Horowitz and Lenay Dunn from "10 On Top," and they will also test how well the cast members know the "Hunger Games" series with trivia questions.

Fangirls (and guys) of the world, commence weeping: We have no chance of seeing Sam Claflin's no-no when he appears on screen November 22 as Finnick Odair in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
In the installment of Suzanne Collins' series that the new movie is based on, the rakish tribute appeared — to Katniss' dismay and the delight of imaginative readers everywhere — in a parade wearing only a golden fishnet with a strategically placed knot over his you-know-where. After all, he may be from the fishing-centric District 4, but if he has to dress in a fisherman theme, at least it can be a sexy fisherman theme. (Claflin is very true to canon with this point, making sure that his fellow castmembers told a screaming crowd at Comic-Con that he was "a sex god.")
But it's time for those dreams of shimmering fishnet to be dashed: In an interview with MTV News, costume designer Trish Summerville confirmed that Finnick's parade outfit will not parade his goods as much as in the book. Get More »
The first time we got a glimpse of Sam Claflin as the oh-so-dreamy District 4 trident-wielder Finnick Odair for Francis Lawrence's "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," he was getting a little too close for comfort to
Catnip Katniss, and his little smirk had a thousand intonations of intrigue within ... Ooh la la! KitKat clearly wasn't havin' any of it, though (she's already got a feely triangle taking shape, after all).
More importantly, the "Hunger Games" faithful were donning a collective Not Impressed face because, well, the man was described as being so damn beautiful that all the women of the Capitol couldn't help but fall all over themselves at the very sight of him, and the first glimpse didn't show a whole lot of that aspect.
Now that the clock is tick-tocking down to the film's release, though, the gamemakers of this franchise have decided to notch up the sex appeal a little further for this water-friendly tribute, releasing (via Entertainment Weekly) this new still of the hunk ... sans a shirt. Get More »
With San Diego Comic-Con right around the corner, it's no coincidence that Lionsgate chose this week to unveil the superhero-iffic costumes from the next installment of "The Hunger Games."
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and nine other veteran and new cast members from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" are looking quite fetching in the skintight, futuristic, scuba suit looking tournament getups they're sporting. The studio behind the multiple MTV Movie Award-winning franchise debuted the 11 posters across six outlets on Tuesday: MTV News, Yahoo! Movies, MSN, Empire, Moviefone and the LA Times Hero Complex.
"The Hunger Games" isn't a superhero story of course, nor is the series based on comic books. But ever since Jessica Alba and Dane Cook brought a rom-com to the Con, all bets are off, right? "The Hunger Games" at least has plenty of genre elements, so the crew will be welcomed with open arms by the Hall H crowd on Saturday (or least, they should expect a better welcome than "Twilight"). Saturday will also see the unveiling of a brand new "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" trailer. Get More »
Pretty much the entire point of the first trailer for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," launched all the way back in April, was to remind everyone that (a) while it'd take 'em a full year and a half — tick tock indeed — to parachute drop this sequel to the hungry citizens of Panem, it would happen and (b) that even though director Gary Ross dropped it like it was hot, the transition to new director Francis Lawrence would be a Seam-less one, so to speak. (How do you like that for a lil tribute chuckle? Hungry for more? Okay, we'll stop.)
But we've been waiting long enough, and we have needs. Needs that will hopefully be met by the trailer that Lionsgate announced would debut next month at Comic-Con, complete with a Hall H panel with the stars in attendance. Get More »
Finding Finnick Odair for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" was quite a formidable task for the filmmakers because, as with most literary hunks of note, fans have incredibly high standards for representation of the fictional bf. Peep Google Images' results for Finnick fan art, and you'll see what we mean.
Director Francis Lawrence plucked Sam Claflin of "Snow White and the Huntsman" esteem for the job of portraying the impossibly charming and handsome trident-wielding fella, and from the looks of this first-glimpse at Claflin in character, it was a wise decision. Get More »
UPDATE: Sam Claflin ("Snow White and the Huntsman"), Eddie Redmayne ("Les Miserables"), Douglas Booth ("Noah") and Boyd Holbrook ("Hatfields & McCoys") are actually the ones screentesting for the role of Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," according to Heat Vision.
So where all that talk of Dane DeHaan, Brady Corbet and Alden Ehrenreich came from is anyone's guess. Or maybe they tested first and they've all since been dropped from the running. We may never know.
Anyway, we just hope that J. Jonah Jameson's in this one.

That bunch knows how to sizzle before the camera. But did you know Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) can also air-puppetteer her own face? Or that Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) can make an insane cricket chirping noise on cue? Or that Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) can perform magic tricks for a crowd? Get More »
Finnick Odair is that beautiful District 4 victor who has the Capitol's citizens in his pocket. He won the 65th Annual Hunger Games at just fourteen years old and was sent back into the Games in the Third Quarter Quell to compete with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and others. He - unbeknownst to some of his allies - plays a major part in carrying out the revolutionaries' big plan.
Finnick's an excellent swimmer, and his weapon of choice is the trident. Also, erm, he prefers to wear barely-there ensembles, which totally makes the ladies swoon, save Katniss, so prepare to see some serious ab action from Claflin in the film. Get More »
