Behold! A First Glimpse of Finnick in 'Catching Fire'
Finding Finnick Odair for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" was quite a formidable task for the filmmakers because, as with most literary hunks of note, fans have incredibly high standards for representation of the fictional bf. Peep Google Images' results for Finnick fan art, and you'll see what we mean.
Director Francis Lawrence plucked Sam Claflin of "Snow White and the Huntsman" esteem for the job of portraying the impossibly charming and handsome trident-wielding fella, and from the looks of this first-glimpse at Claflin in character, it was a wise decision. Get More »
Who Will Be Harry Osborn in 'Spider-Man 2'?

UPDATE: Sam Claflin ("Snow White and the Huntsman"), Eddie Redmayne ("Les Miserables"), Douglas Booth ("Noah") and Boyd Holbrook ("Hatfields & McCoys") are actually the ones screentesting for the role of Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," according to Heat Vision.
So where all that talk of Dane DeHaan, Brady Corbet and Alden Ehrenreich came from is anyone's guess. Or maybe they tested first and they've all since been dropped from the running. We may never know.
Anyway, we just hope that J. Jonah Jameson's in this one.

After weeks of speculation, Sam Claflin has now finally been confirmed by "The Hunger Games" studio Lionsgate to be the official selection for Finnick Odair in "Catching Fire"!
Finnick Odair is that beautiful District 4 victor who has the Capitol's citizens in his pocket. He won the 65th Annual Hunger Games at just fourteen years old and was sent back into the Games in the Third Quarter Quell to compete with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and others. He - unbeknownst to some of his allies - plays a major part in carrying out the revolutionaries' big plan.
Finnick's an excellent swimmer, and his weapon of choice is the trident. Also, erm, he prefers to wear barely-there ensembles, which totally makes the ladies swoon, save Katniss, so prepare to see some serious ab action from Claflin in the film. Get More »

"Erotica" is the stimulating new sub-series of "MTV After Hours," and host Josh Horowitz sends temperatures through the roof as he has the cast of "Snow White and the Huntsman" read select passages from E.L. James' tantalizing bestseller, "Fifty Shades of Grey." Not surprisingly, Charlize Theron adds her own blocking, Kristen Stewart delivers side commentary every fourth word or so and Sam Claflin goes for the calm and cool seduction. Meanwhile, it's all a bit too much for Chris Hemsworth, who's shocked to discover he's not really on MTV … but, rather, "Erotica."
