This week: Daniel Craig returns as 007 in arguably the best Bond film ever (or at least in decades), "Skyfall," co-starring Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw.
Also new this week is the coming-of-age drama "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" with Emma Watson, RZA trying to do Quentin Tarantino proud in "The Man with the Iron Fists" and the sexually frank drama "The Sessions" starring Helen Hunt. Get More »
What does it mean to be cool? It's pretty damn subjective. So when compiling our list of the 25 coolest people making movies right now (somebody had to do it, right?), we accounted for various factors.
These are the actors who not only impress us onscreen (though that helps), but convey a certain genuineness off it, be it at awards shows, on TV appearances or during our own personal experiences interviewing them. They can be multi-talents, also excelling at music, art or writing. And they can make a habit of turning up in hilarious viral videos or even at your local karaoke bar.
But most of all, these are the 25 actors we'd really just like to sit down and have a beer with.

RZA has some fightin' moves!
The hip-hop maestro makes his debut as feature director and leading man in "The Man with the Iron Fists," a martial arts epic that has guaranteed our opening night attendance with its tagline alone:

RZA is heading south with Quentin Tarantino.
The "Kill Bill" composer is reuniting with the "Kill Bill" writer-director for "Django Unchained," according to Variety. But this time, RZA will be in front of the camera.
The former Wu-Tang Clan frontman will be playing the role of Thaddeus, a violent slave working on a Mississippi plantation. And just because you usually can't have just one person join the cast of "Django Unchained" at a given time, "Frozen River" star Misty Upham has also signed on as a trading post/bar owner named Minnie. Ol' Dirty Bastard's life story is still coming to a theater near you … eventually. The rapper also known as Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus or just simply ODB died in 2004, and in 2009 his cousin and fellow Wu-Tang Clan member RZA mentioned a biopic was a possibility.
In a recent interview with XXL, RZA dished some details on the project, and it sounds like it's moving into high gear. Not only that, it's attracted the attention of "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan and actor Eddie Griffin. Get More »
RZA is looking to train some badass ninjas.

Sometimes, the news that crosses our desk is so outright strange that there's no way to present it other than straight on, like a big slug of whiskey to your brain.
So grit your teeth and poung this one back: it appears Russell Crowe has just signed on to star in a new kung-fu movie being directed by Wu-Tang Clan mastermind RZA.
Our mind, it is blown.
For "Black Swan," director Darren Aronofsky trusted longtime collaborator Clint Mansell to fill out the whole soundtrack. The upcoming film "Blue Valentine," meanwhile, is scored entirely by indie rock band Grizzly Bear.
And then, of course, there's Daft Punk's creation for the upcoming "TRON: Legacy."
But these defy movie soundtrack conventions. The majority of the great ones are more like mixtapes (yeah, we're referencing you, Zach Braff), made by director for his girlfriend film. It is sweet, but impersonal.
So when a director collaborates with only one musician to build the soundtrack, it's like a boyfriend writing and recording an entire album for and inspired by his girlfriend. With that in mind, here are our 13 favorite single-artist soundtracks. Get More »
