'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' Trailer: Affleck and Mara Do Bonnie and Clyde
It seems odd to say about a guy who was nominated for an Oscar, but Casey Affleck doesn't get nearly enough props. Think about it: Has the guy ever turned in a performance that was less than awesome? Yet he still ends up being overshadowed by his headline chomping big bro. It just ain't fair.
Well, Ben's baby brother is back at it again, and judging by the new YouTube trailer for "Ain't Them Bodies Saints," it looks like this may finally be Casey's time to shine in the spotlight. Get More »

It was announced yesterday that Spike Jonze's mysterious new movie, "Her," about a man (played by Joaquin Phoenix) who falls in love with his Siri-like operating system, would be released by Warner Bros on November 20th. And today it was revealed that two previously unreported, very exciting cast members will make appearances in Jonze's film: Scarlett Johansson and Chris Pratt.
It is unclear, of course, what roles the actors play (although it is conceivable that Johansson could voice the computer, especially if the settings on the computer call for "breathlessly sexy"). They join previously announced cast members Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Samantha Morton, and Olivia Wilde. This is going to be good. Get More »

Is Daniel Craig Being Written Out of 'The Girl Who Played With Fire?'

Adapting a beloved novel for the big screen is always a tricky task. Back in 2011, though, David Fincher and the folks at Fox managed to do a more than credible job with the international bestseller "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Sure, some people were miffed that they tweaked the ending, but for the most part, it was fairly respectful of the source material.
Well, get a load of this: According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox is considering writing Daniel Craig out of the sequel, "The Girl Who Played With Fire," entirely despite the fact that he plays one of the main characters in the franchise.
So much for being faithful to the book! Get More »

It's 'The Hunger Games' vs. 'Bridesmaids' at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards
Katniss Everdeen may have survived the Games, but we'll have to see how she fares against Kristen Wiig and her band of crazies — or, rather, ladies — as "The Hunger Games" and "Bridesmaids" lead the 2012 MTV Movie Award nominations with eight apiece, including Movie of the Year.
That's not a typo: The usually dominant "Twilight" series and its 2011 entry, "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," nabbed only two nominations (Movie of the Year and Best Kiss), while movies like "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," (six noms) "21 Jump Street" (six) and "The Help" (four) fared better and will have more chances at bringing home Golden Popcorn statues.

Rooney Mara Skips Stockholm For 'Brooklyn'
Rooney Mara has mastered the art of being a heavily tattooed waif, so, like any good hipster, she's got Brooklyn in her sights.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" star has signed on as the lead in the film adaptation of Colm Toibin's 2009 novel, "Brooklyn."
The book tells the story of Eilis Lacey, a young Irish woman living in the 1950s, who leaves her homeland for Brooklyn, only to find herself so enamored with her American life that she becomes unsure if she can return to her native country.
Toibin's novel is being adapted for the big screen by Nick Hornby, who last made his way to theaters with his adaptation of Lynn Barber's "An Education," for which Horsnby was nominated for an Oscar. Get More »
