The United States of Movies Summer Olympic Teams

This Friday will kick off the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, and though our old Revolutionary War adversaries might be our allies now, that doesn't mean the U.S. of frickin' A. isn't ready to bring the thunder.

Using our powers of make-believe and fantasy, we've assembled athletic champions from the entirety of movie history to give us a clear advantage towards the race for Olympic glory in every sport of the XXX Olympiad. Get More »

Disney's 50 Finest: In Order of Awesome

Beauty and the Beast 3D
Disney

Just days before the release of "Tangled," Disney shocked the world by announcing the film would be their last fairy tale princess story. But while there was much wailing, another, more positive milestone has been somewhat overlooked: "Tangled" marked the studio's 50th animated feature.

We know what you're thinking: Surely Disney has made more than 50 movies, right? And it's true, they have. But if there's one thing Disney knows even more than animation, it's how to protect their brand, which is why they've designated some of their features to be official classics and others -- like "The Jungle Book 2" or "Pete's Dragon" -- to be, you know, just something they do on the side for giggles and grins.

To celebrate the release of "Beauty and the Beast 3D," we review and rank all 50 official Disney animated features. Get More »

Are the Wachowskis preparing to rob from the rich and give to the poor?

In a bit of out-of-nowhere news, Heat Vision brings word that the duo behind "The Matrix" have added an "urban retelling" of the Robin Hood myth to their plate -- titled, simply, "Hood" -- and have even approached Will Smith to take on the lead role.

Yes, that Will Smith.

The Wachowskis have several projects in various stages of development, including their already controversial gay Iraq War romance "CN-9" ("Cobalt Neural 9," for the record), which is still looking for financing, and their adaptation of David Mitchell's twisty-turny, time-bending 2004 novel, "Cloud Atlas." Exclusive Q&A: Kevin Durand, Rapper/‘Robin Hood' Actor

Kevin Durand

Towering Canadian actor Kevin Durand is a force to reckon with on-screen as Little John in "Robin Hood," Blob in "Wolverine" and the unapologetically evil Martin Keamy on TV's "Lost," to name but a few.

Off-screen, the 36-year-old man's man still likes to make rap music (yes, rap) and is a self-proclaimed "film nerd" (guess nerds are hitting the gym way more than they used to).

With "Robin Hood" hitting DVD, we chatted with Durand about the end of Keamy and why director Ridley Scott made him want to cry. Get More »
