'The Mortal Instruments' Adds Two Villains

The cast of Screen Gems' adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" is coming together at a snail's pace, but, with less than six weeks until production begins, the news is slowly but surely trickling down. While we're still on edge to find out who (seriously, who?!) will portray Simon and Alec, two new names have now joined the fold.

Kevin Durand ("Real Steel," "Lost") and Robert Maillet ("Sherlock Holmes," "Immortals") — both equal parts muscle and menace — are now locked in to portray the characters Emil Pangborn and Samuel Blackwell, a pair of nefarious cronies from Valentine Morgenstern's Circle, reports Variety. Get More »
