The 15 Most Evil Movie Corporations

The East Fox Searchlight

WARNING: SPOILERS all up in the conference room.

Never trust an organized entity, especially if it has a 401K plan.

As this week's new thriller "The East" chronicles a former FBI agent's transition to a private job at a sinister intelligence agency, we thought we'd look back at the rich history of evil movie corporations and separate the maniacally, outrageously, inexcusably evil from the "Aw, that's cute, look at them trying to be evil" evil. The Zombie Rules for Swimming in a Blood Pool

Capcom Capcom

If you're going to have a swimming pool full of blood, there've gotta be a few rules, ya know?

Over in the U.K. (which basically explains everything about this story right off) some weird chaps will be celebrating the release of the latest Resident Evil video game by taking a dip in a pool of blood-colored water.

And attendants won't just be seeing red when this all goes down, either; human torso floats, intestine-shaped lane markers, zombie lifeguards and a "freshly killed human corpse" diving board will also be prepared for the day, and participants can retrieve some vials of anti-virus serum from the bottom and then dry off with blood-spattered towels. Talk about some killer theme commitment.  Get More »

9 Franchises That Need to End Now

Scary Movie 5 Dimension

"Scary Movie 5" opened in theaters this past weekend and if you're like most human beings, you're probably wondering just one thing: Why?

But the fact that Hollywood made yet another "Scary Movie" is really no surprise. After all, most studios believe that while you may not be able to beat a dead horse, you can certainly continue to milk a dead cash cow ... which explains why so many franchises continue to get sequels long after any they've stopped being interesting, fresh or creative. Why make something new when you can make something cheap and derivative instead? Get More »

9 Directors Who've Told Other Men to Make Out with Their Wives

Getty Images

"Here's where you make out with my wife."

If you've ever said that, you're either recreationally into that sort of thing (and we here at NextMovie hold no judgment) or you're a Hollywood director married to an actress in the movie you're directing. Get More »

Idiot's Guide to the 'Resident Evil' Movies

Resident Evil: Retribution
Screen Gems

Poor Alice. Will her epic war with the undead and the corrupt Umbrella Corporation ever end?

We kind of hope not, 'cause that would mean no more "Resident Evil" movies. Alice (Milla Jovovich) returns in the fifth(!) chapter, "Resident Evil: Retribution," in theaters this Friday. Her journey has been long, hard and more complicated than you might imagine; as such, we thought a refresher course of sorts was in order before you check out her latest battle against the victims — and creators — of that damn T-virus. In case you thought otherwise, walking around like a zombie doesn't work, but not wearing any clothes apparently does. That sounds easy enough to avoid impending doom. As you get into survival mode, check out the video above for even more words of wisdom.

GALLERY: Hot Girls, Huge Guns

In honor of Rihanna making a splashy debut in the ocean-bound blockbuster "Battleship," we're locked, loaded and counting down some of the sexiest screen sirens to handle monster weapons.

That's right, we're bringing out the big guns, in more ways than one, as these scorching hot ladies show us a thing or two about proper marksmanship.

GALLERY: Our 15 Favorite Women in Black

In "The Woman in Black," Harry Potter himself (or rather, Daniel Radcliffe) takes on the darker side of the supernatural as he investigates a haunted estate and the dark history that brought one of its former residents back from the grave for revenge.

The "Woman" of the title is kind of a pain in the butt, what with all the murdering and all; but not every similarly clad woman is quite so gloomy. Some of our favorite filmic females have donned a dark look for some memorable roles, no doubt bolstered by the fact that black is slimming.

As Wesley Snipes said in "Passenger 57": "Always bet on black."

9 Ladies Who Could Kick Your Ass. Hard.

Underworld: Awakening
Screen Gems

Looking good is one thing. Looking good and kicking ass simultaneously is quite another, as Kate Beckinsale has proved time and time again in the "Underworld" movies. You think wearing that skin-tight leather bodysuit while leaping, running, shooting automatic weapons and beating Lycans to a pulp is easy? Have you ever tried it?

In honor of Beckinsale's newest ass-kicking showcase, "Underworld: Awakening," not to mention former MMA star Gina Carano's buzzed-about turn in "Haywire" -- and just to be sure we don't piss either of them off -- we tip our hats to nine female characters we wouldn't want to cross.

Next to these babes, we'd be toast. Get More »
