Last night, the
internet voting zombies people spoke and declared who and what they favored most from 2012's crop of films at the 2013 People's Choice Awards, and to the surprise of absolutely no one it was "The Hunger Games" which came out on top of the wins list.
"Hunger Games" snagged the win for Favorite Movie as well as Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise and Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. The film also garnered its now two-time Oscar-nominated leading actress Jennifer Lawrence a win for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism, which was great because her speech was - per usual - completely adorable. Team Edward gasped in unison on Wednesday night when the "Twilight" star debuted his new shaved head at the People's Choice Awards, where "Water For Elephants" won the award for Favorite Drama Movie. You can barely hear Pattinson's humble and gracious words as he accepts the award on behalf of the entire production due to all of the squealing teenage girls in the audience, though one has to wonder -- are they just reacting as they usually do when in the presence of Robert Pattinson, or is there a little bit of shock and awe over his new appearance in those high-pitched screams as well?

Seemingly all of Hollywood stepped out for the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night, where "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," Emma Stone and Johnny Depp emerged as the evening's big winners.
The final chapter in the saga of the Boy Who Lived took many awards back to Hogwarts, including Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast and Favorite Book Adaptation. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton were all individual nominees for Favorite Movie Star Under 25, though they all lost to the only non-"Potter" nominee, Chloe Moretz. "Hunger Games" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson were in attendance at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, accompanied by an entire District's worth of celebrities, including Miley Cyrus, Emma Stone, Ewan McGregor, Ashley Greene, Neil Patrick Harris, Vanessa Hudgens and Chloe Moretz. Even Terrence Howard, who was all the way out in New York the night before for the "Red Tails" premiere, flew across the country for the ceremony.

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth were finally all in one place at the same time at the People's Choice Awards. We were psyched ... and now, totally bummed. If we'd blinked, we might have missed the "Hunger Games" stars entirely.
Lawrence and Hemsworth appeared together to present a TV award, while Hutcherson introduced a performance. Yawn.
Thankfully, the red carpet offered a tasty morsel. Get More »
Wahoo: The virtual polling booths are open for this year's People's Choice Awards.
Although the PCAs cover everything from your favorite morning TV show (go, Al Roker!) to the best TV guest star (Gwyneth Paltrow on "Glee"??), our favorite categories are the movies, naturally. And boy, are there a lot of movie categories. And nominees. And "Harry Potter." Get More »
For 35 years, the People's Choice Awards have been turning the tables on traditional end-of-the-year award shows, handing the voting over to the fans as opposed to those know-nothing industry players and critics.
Really, what do they know?
All kidding aside, the PCAs can be a compelling litmus test of the mass audience's interests, a clear look into the often mystifying ebb and flow of pop culture. Deep enough? Absolutely. And who better to conduct this study than host, Queen Latifah, who opened the show with a hand-pumping rendition of Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." Get More »
