There are a lot of creepy jerks in Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" series of novels, but few are creepier or jerkier than the sinister Romulus Thread.

So it's safe to say that today's news will likely send a shiver of dread down the spine of every true fan, as Variety is reporting that veteran actor Patrick St. Esprit has signed on to portray Thread in the upcoming adaptation of the sequel to "The Hunger Games," "Catching Fire."
