254: The number of combined victims of "Redemption" star Jason Statham ass-kickings over his film career, as we've tallied and created visual representation for exclusively here on NextMovie.
What constitutes an 'ass-kicking'? Glad you asked. It ranges from as harmless as "incapacitating a bad guy to question him" to as devastating as "stabbing a bad guy in the neck." (Stabbings were deemed allowable because Statham is usually doing something cool with his knives, like throwing them or spinning them in his hand for no reason.)
Do guns count? Of course not.

"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" became the fifth Jeremy Renner film in a row to hit the top spot at the box office, as according to Film.com the poorly reviewed action flick earned $19 million over its debut weekend.
That was enough to hold off returning champ "Mama," which finished in second place, as well as dead on arrival duds "Parker" and "Movie 43," which debuted in fifth and seventh place respectively.
For a full run down of the weekend's box office figures, including numbers for award season favorites "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty," head to Film.com.
Thieves play dirty. Tigers play dirtier.
In case you didn't already know (and, honestly, that may have been the case), Jason Statham is apparently quite the desirable gent. But his bald-headed, British-accented, two-fisted, high-kicking charm can't hold a candle to the power and appeal of a Bengal tiger.
The scene-stealing CGI creation of "Life of Pi" joins forces with Jennifer Lopez (it sort of oddly makes sense, doesn't it?) in this Beauty and the Beast reimagining of "Parker," the new crime thriller opening Jan. 25. We knew Statham was a cool cat and all, but come on!

Ben Affleck has certainly experienced something of a comeback in recent years. Now how about the other (better?) half of Bennifer?
Jenny From the Block has slowly but surely placed herself back on the pop culture radar with her stint as an "American Idol" judge and by making like a diva on the Dance Again World Tour. Now she's taking another shot at becoming the movie star we all thought she was going to be way back during the "Selena" days with a co-starring role opposite Jason Statham in the new action flick, "Parker."
J.Lo's still got what it takes — in fact, she might even be hotter at 43 than she's ever been before. Check her out in movies and on the red carpet in our gallery.
A Jason Statham movie has a few certainties: Jason will beat the crap out of some bad guys. Jason will shoot other bad guys, and they will die from their gunshot wounds. And Jason will seduce a young lady or two.
I'm confident that Mr. Statham can beat people up. He's probably good at shooting things and making things blow up, too. It was the last part that produced some skepticism in me, having never heard any female friend of mine gush about Jason Statham the way they had about, say, Channing Tatum or Matt Damon or Steve Zahn. Ah, 2013. Breathe in that sweet, fresh, new year air. You're walking in a winter wonderland. Everything is new. A sense of possibility! A sense of having no clue what any of these January releases are about.
It's true: We've all been so wrapped up in hustling to see November and December's awards contenders before Hollywood's sparkliest posse gathers to repeatedly congratulate its members that we totally forgot that there are new movies coming out. "'Mama'? What's that?" you may think, puzzling over the coming soon roster. "Sounds sweet."
Gentle movie enthusiast, come with us. We'll guide you through January's new releases and show you the light, movie math style. Click ahead for our simple arithmetic breakdowns of the coming attractions.
(And for the record, "Mama" is not sweet. It's 98 percent likely to scare the living bejeezus out of you and undo whatever goodwill you may harbor toward Jessica Chastain after "The Help.") Get More »
Ready to see Hollywood's resident tough guy Jason Statham kick even more ass? Good, cause ya know, there's just not enough of that these days.
The first trailer for Statham's latest violence romp, "Parker," has just dropped. In addition to presenting the gun-toting, fierce zinger-ringing Statham we all know and love so well, he's also pulling a bit of a "Robin Hood" act in the feature ... with himself as the beneficiary, of course.
Statham's Parker is an ethical thief who's got two rules: "don't steal from people who can't afford it" and "don't hurt people who don't deserve it." Get More »
UPDATE: It's a girl! Jennifer Lopez has officially signed on to join Cameron Diaz in "What to Expect When You're Expecting," according to Deadline.
Here's hoping she also ends up making her proposed team-up with Jason Statham, "Parker," a sure thing as well. Stay tuned!
