New 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Trailer: '60s New York, Folk Music and a Cat

Like the first, this new trailer for the Coen Brothers"Inside Llewyn Davis" introduces us to a scruffy Oscar Isaac as (you guessed it) Llewyn Davis, a wannabe folk singer who basically meanders around '60s New York. He pisses everyone off with his refusal to give up the whole wandering troubadour gig despite many, many personal setbacks and the grimness of the City's music scene in general.

Llewyn's got no money, a pregnant ex-girl (an unrecognizably mousy Carey Mulligan) who can't seem to stand him and an orange tabby cat that likes to ride the subway for some reason, and yet he presses on by auditioning for coffee house gigs and otherwise stomaching guff from the likes of John Goodman.

All of the week's hot casting news in one fell swoop ...

Timothy Olyphant just can't hang up that cowboy hat. The "Justified" star is joining Kurt Russell, Peter Sarsgaard, Richard Jenkins and Jennifer Carpenter for "Bone Tomahawk," a violent horror-western about four men who attempt to rescue a group of captives from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes that live beyond the edge of civilization (awesome). Video Q&A: Rosie Perez and Oscar Isaac School Us on 'Won't Back Down'

At its core, "Won't Back Down" is a story highlighting some of the problems in our education system today. Such issues weren't lost on its stars, especially Rosie Perez and Oscar Isaac.

"It gave me a lot of questions," Isaac tells NextMovie. "It did cause me to go back and be like, 'What's the whole story with charter schools?'" Get More »

Video Q&A: Maggie Gyllenhaal Just 'Won't Back Down'

Maggie Gyllenhaal is a lot of things: A-list actress, Hollywood royalty, social activist … the list goes on and on. However, above anything else, Gyllenhaal is a mother. Ironically, it's her experience as a real-life mom that made her want to play the lead in "Won't Back Down" — which would also require her to spend more time away from her daughter. Get More »

GALLERY: The '10 Years' Cast, 10 Years Ago

Attending a 10 year high school reunion is a bit like a time warp. People are the same, but they're not. They look the same, but, then again, they totally don't.

With "10 Years" arriving in theaters this Friday and rocking a class list we really wish we were on — from Channing Tatum and Justin Long to Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Rosario Dawson — we thought it'd be fun to see what the actors were up to just a decade ago. Some of it might surprise you, and some of it you probably already know.

Before you flip through our pseudo-yearbook: If you're looking for a glimpse at what the actors looked like in high school, check out the official "10 Years" Tumblr (but we promise this is no less humorous). And, lastly, you won't find Aubrey Plaza, one of the other awesome stars in this movie, in this gallery. We simply couldn't find any photos of her that pre-dated 2006, but it wasn't for lack of love or effort.

Garret Hedlund to Make Beautiful Music With the Coen Brothers

Getty Images

Still riding high from last summer's blockbuster hit "TRON: Legacy," Garrett Hedlund's dancing card is starting to seriously fill up. The blue-eyed thesp is already set to star opposite Helena Bonham Carter in the mystery flick "Akira," but he's just squeezed in another job first. (Sometimes it's nice when things get pushed back.)

According to Showblitz, word around Tinseltown is that Hedlund is in negotiations to join the cast of the Coen Brothers' latest, "Inside Llewyn Davis," which would mean him teaming up with the likes of Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Oscar Isaac. Not too shabby if you ask us. Get More »
