'Master and Commander' Russell Crowe Goes Kayaking, Gets Lost & Rescued
"Master and Commander" star Russell Crowe isn't so good at sea after all.

Emma Watson Rains Down on Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah'
Emma Watson is seeking shelter from the storm.
The "Harry Potter" star is preparing for a flood of Biblical proportions as she's in talks to board "Noah," according to Deadline.
Emma would be playing the role of Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah's son, Shem (Douglas Booth). If Emma accepts the role, she'll be reuniting with her "Perks of Being a Wallflower" co-star, Logan Lerman, who's playing Noah's older son, Ham. Get More »
Logan Lerman and Douglas Booth Set Sail for 'Noah'
Darren Aronofsky is going from one crazed ballerina in "Black Swan" to one (arguably) crazed boat-builder in his upcoming drama, "Noah."
And now that the writer/director has Russell Crowe locked down as the titular handyman, he's busy casting two other main roles: Noah's sons. Word has it that English heartthrob Douglas Booth is lined up to play Noah's younger boy, Shem, and Logan Lerman will take on the role of the older son, Ham.
There's still no definitive word on which actress might play Noah's wife (who may or may not support his somewhat radical survival plan), though there are rumblings of Aronofsky's "Requiem For a Dream" star Jennifer Connelly as a possibility, Deadline reports. She starred opposite Crowe in "A Beautiful Mind" back in 2001, so she's got some experience as his better half. Get More »
Saoirse Ronan Finds Feminism in 'Testament of Youth'
Saoirse Ronan has always been one for mixing things up, whether she's playing ultimate bratty little sister in "Atonement" or snapping necks to a Chemical Brothers beat in "Hanna."
Ronan's latest project is a juicy one and suits the young actress perfectly. She's taking on the starring role of real-life feminist, pacifist and writer Vera Brittain in an adaptation of her memoir "Testament of Youth." "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman is working on the film, which is also being backed by the BBC. Get More »
Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Connelly Board 'Noah'
Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Connelly have hopped aboard the cast of Darren Aronofsky's upcoming biblical epic "Noah," Paramount confirmed yesterday per indieWire.
Looks like they're going to need a bigger boat.
"Noah," of course, is Aronofsky's long-delayed, long-rumored take on the familiar tale of the biblical figure who built a giant ship to escape the watery destruction of the world at the hands of an angry deity. And as we reported earlier in the week, Russell Crowe is on board as the titular character.
That makes "Noah" a reunion of sorts between Crowe and Connelly, who previously starred together in 2001's "A Beautiful Mind," a collaboration that earned Connelly an Oscar for Best Actress and Crowe his third Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Get More »
Russell Crowe Leads Stars Lining Up Two By Two for Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah'
UPDATE: Russell Crowe officially will be taking on the role of Noah in Darren Aronofsky's "Noah," a "close adaptation" of the story from the Book of Genesis according to a press release.
"I rejoice that Russell Crowe will be by my side on this adventure," Aronofsky said in a statement. "It's his immense talent that helps me to sleep at night. I look forward to being wowed by him every day."
Neeson's casting remains unconfirmed.
