Video Music Awards Adds 'Breaking Dawn – Part 2' Trailer to Lineup

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is taking a bite out of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

A brand new 90-second trailer for the film franchise's final installment, which hits theaters Nov. 16, will debut during the show, airing Thursday, Sept. 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT

The closing chapter of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series, which hits theaters Nov. 16, finds a newly-turned vampire Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) and her Cullen clan fending off the advances of the villainous Volturi with the help of allies, both cold- and hot-blooded.

Spike Jonze. Michel Gondry. David Fincher. These names are usually associated with some of the most critically acclaimed movies today, but these filmmakers, along with several of their contemporaries, actually got their start directing music videos for the likes of Beastie Boys, Bjork and Madonna.

The nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards were announced today, and with these directors rocking the music video and feature film world, you might be seeing this year's nominees for Best Direction coming to a theater near you.
