GALLERY: 'So You Think You Can Dance' Contestants in Movies

As we count the minutes until Eliana Girard or Tiffany Maher and Cyrus "Glitch" Spencer or Chehon Wespi-Tschopp are crowned "America's Favorite Dancer" on tonight's season finale of "So You Think You Can Dance," we thought it might be nice to pass the time in style.

And, by style, we mean all kinds of dance styles in all kinds of movies.

Some of our favorite all-stars and other "SYTYCD" contestants have landed on the big screen over the years, and we're sure hoping some of the Season 9 gang will soon join them.

Seeing as Season 6 finalist Kathryn McCormick recently starred in the fourth installment of the "Step Up" franchise (alongside Stephen "tWitch" Boss and Phillip Chbeeb, natch), now seemed as good a time as any to take a look at how some of our favorite "SYTYCD" stars are blowing up Hollywood. Put some boogie shoes on your fingertips and click away to see for yourself.

Who Should Step Into Baby & Johnny's 'Dirty Dancing' Shoes?

Once you've come to terms with the idea that the "Dirty Dancing" remake is actually happening, the only logical step is to take a crack at casting the actors who will replace Jennifer Grey, Patrick Swayze and the rest of the original ensemble.

First consider a few facts: Swayze and Grey were playing 25-year-old Johnny and 18-year-old Baby, but they were actually 35 and 27, so we're not hung up on age here. Baby doesn't need to be a fabulous dancer, but Johnny and Penny do. Lastly, when it comes to the new cast, one thing's clear: they have epic shoes to fill, and we hope whomever lands the parts will do the original stars justice.

We've come up with some early picks for various roles, but now we want to hear from you. Sound off here in the comments or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
