Sony wants to take on at least one more alien menace ... and break an old board game out of the closet.

Will Smith 'Probably' Won't Appear in 'I Am Legend' Sequel

Will Smith in "I Am Legend"
Warner Bros.

Ahh, what a difference a sequel makes. Earlier this year, the Hollywood rumor mill was buzzing with news that Overbrook Entertainment (the production co. owned by Will Smith) was working on a sequel for the 2007 hit "I Am Legend," which would feature Smith once again as Robert Neville — despite the fact that things hadn’t turned out so well for him at the end of the original.

No, he wasn't coming back from the dead, though we do kinda love when that happens in the movie-verse. Rather, the powers-that-be explained that technical glitch away by saying "I am Legend 2" wouldn't be a direct sequel, but rather a different story told within the same world. Clever. Get More »

Extra Slaps 'MIB3' Filmmakers With Out Of This World Lawsuit

Men in Black III

Oh Justin Timberlake, what hath thou wrought?

The term "wardrobe malfunction" always brings to mind that little bit of Super Bowl business years ago, but now its taken on a more sinister dimension thanks to the mysterious circumstances behind a lawsuit against the makers of "Men In Black 3" from one of its many extras.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a purported model and personal trainer named Danika Gerner has filed a lawsuit in New York Supreme Court against Columbia Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and a whole slew of people who worked in the costume department for last weekend's big box office winner starring Will Smith. Box Office Shakeup: 'Men in Black 3' Dethrones 'The Avengers'

Men in Black III
Columbia Pictures

Well, the inevitable finally happened, as a movie managed to knock "The Avengers" out of the top spot at the box office — and that movie was the long-delayed Will Smith blockbuster "Men in Black 3," which earned a so-so $56 million over its opening weekend.

Don't cry too much for "The Avengers," though, because according to Film.com, the Disney/Marvel powerhouse still came in second with an estimated $38 million. That brings its domestic total to an amazing $523.8 million, making it the fastest movie to cross the $500 million mark in Hollywood history.

For a full rundown on the holiday weekend's box office figures, including numbers for the anemic "Battleship" and the new horror film "The Chernobyl Diaries," head to Film.com.

'Men in Black III' Has Some Serious(ly Alien) Style

A cool suit, a killer pair of shades and some sharp shoes are the key touchstones of the agents of "Men in Black III," but that's not the only awesome style being rocked.

Sure, Agent J (Will Smith) and Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones / Josh Brolin) bring it with the business attire, but the ladies — and even the extra-terrestrials! — also know how to keep it cool and sleek while protecting the world. Agent O (Alice Eve) manages to be sexy while completely ladylike and professional, and Lily Poison uses her form-fitting frock and fab sense of accessorizing as a fierce weapon.
