"Here's where you make out with my wife."
If you've ever said that, you're either recreationally into that sort of thing (and we here at NextMovie hold no judgment) or you're a Hollywood director married to an actress in the movie you're directing. Get More »
Years ago, "Dawn of the Dead" director George Romero said in an interview that when he originally pitched Universal on a contemporary remake of "The Mummy" (prior to the 1999 Stephen Sommers version), the studio asked why it couldn't be a period piece like the original, not realizing that when the Boris Karloff version came out 1932 WAS contemporary.
Now it seems execs at Universal are a little older and wiser, since Deadline reports they're indeed going modern-day for a reboot of their "Mummy" franchise, with none other than "Total Recall" remaker Len Wiseman at the helm to remake the remake. Get More »
We don't think the classic line "Get your ass to Mars" is in the remake, but that doesn't mean we're not going to refer to it every chance we get.
Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and other mind-benders walked the red carpet (OR DID THEY?) in celebration of director Len Wiseman's upgraded remix of Paul Verhoeven's 1990 sci-fi cult classic, "Total Recall." We noticed that no one arrived via Johnny Cab, which is ... well, a little disappointing, actually.
Check out our collection of pics from the premiere, and get your ass to "Total Recall" (see?) when it hits theaters on Aug. 3.

We never doubted for a second that director Len Wiseman wouldn't embrace the opportunity to bring back one of the most iconic throw-away characters in the history of sci-fi cinema.
Well, maybe we did a couple of weeks ago at the San Diego Comic-Con, and our lingering doubt prompted NextMovie's own Kevin Polowy to ask pretty much everyone who came down the press line (whether they were involved in "Total Recall" or not): Is there indeed going to be a three-breasted hooker in the rebooted adventures of Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell)?
The answers ranged from sly (Bryan Cranston) to exasperatingly confrontational (Jessica Biel), but it was Kate Beckinsale who finally assured us that, yes, despite the PG-13 rating, we will be seeing the return of the most important character in all of "Total Recall" lore. And her triple-breasts are apparently worthy of envy.
Watch Kevin's journey to the truth in the video above. "Total Recall" opens Aug. 3.

Long before "Twilight," there was one vampire vs. werewolf franchise that stood above all others: "Underworld."
Launched by Len Wiseman -- a former music video director and protégé of Roland Emmerich who would go on to helm the fourth "Die Hard" and the "Total Recall" remake -- these action-horror hybrids take a few cues from the "Blade" and "Matrix" films to create their own unique blend of B-movie bliss.
On the eve of the fourth film, "Underworld: Awakening," we're giving you a quick primer on all the things that go bump in the blue-tinted night and look sexy doing it. Of course, it goes without saying that this guide will feature SPOILERS galore, so consider yourself duly warned. Get More »
It's been awhile since we had some news about Len Wiseman's remake of "Total Recall," making us wonder if it was all one giant memory implant.
Just as we were asking who would be so lame as to convince us Colin Farrell was taking on an old Arnold Schwarzenegger role, we have confirmation it is real! And Ethan Hawke is joining it!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hawke is joining the cast in a top secret role that is "cameo in nature." Since we live in an age when secret cameos are spoiled long before we hit the theater, we expect someone will eventually explain he's doing there. Get More »
