Could Baz Luhrmann's latest be getting a musical tune-up even before its release?
Unless actress Adelaide Clemens is completely full of it (which she probably isn't), it seems that's the reason for the push back on the release date. Over the summer, it was announced that Luhrmann's adaptation of "The Great Gatsby," which was originally slated to open on December 25, 2012, would hit screens May 10, 2013, instead. What could justify this nearly six months long delay?
Really, at this point you could tell us that our third grade teacher is in "Machete Kills" and we wouldn't bat an eye.
It might seem wrong, if not downright heretical, to alter anything "Ghostbusters"-related, but sometimes it's too catchy not to share.
YouTube user Alex Fruen (discovered by the super-sleuths at Moviefone) is apparently a big fan of cheesy music, as the film's theme song -- a classic, horrific reminder of 1980s synths -- gets mixed with Lady Gaga's "Love Game," arguably one of the poppiest songs of the decade.
On paper, it's suspect. But one listen shows the track's eternal catchiness (at least until tomorrow when another mashup takes its place).
Hopefully, we'll now see a new "Ghostbusters"-related outfit on the next Gaga tour complete with slime and an "Ecto 1" replica. Get More »
There's been a massive drought in the "animated secret fornicating gnomes" genre for a while. Thankfully, Touchstone has stepped in with the upcoming release of "Gnomeo and Juliet," a tale of star-crossed garden ornaments based on the classic Shakespearean tragedy.
Hollywood pals are almost as fun as Hollywood romances. Throw in some crazy costumes and color us thoroughly entertained.
Elton John and Lady Gaga met last January when they performed together at the Grammys and have since collaborated on a duet for "Gnomeo and Juliet." Now, he's spilling his guts about just how much he loves the unpredictable pop star (spoiler alert: it's a whole lot).
"She is a wonderful girl and I love her to death," he tells NextMovie exclusively at the movie's premiere. "We're cut from the same cloth… I can't say enough good things about her and for to take the time to do this with her schedule was a great gesture from her." Get More »
Is "The Muppets" the coolest project in Hollywood?
With everyone and their puppet jumping on board, it's hard to argue otherwise.
Production Weekly reports Paul Rudd will join the cast not as a celebrity cameo, but as a new Muppet named Walter. As a main character, he'll be sharing screen time with stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams.
But that's not the only bit of casting news for this furry film... Get More »
Actor/musician/dancer/videographer/entrepreneur and all-around good guy Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been hitting the clubs recently; although in this case, it's a weekly residency at Piano's, an 150-person venue in New York's Lower East Side, to promote the actor's collaborative production site hitRECord.org.
At each show, JoGo (we're tight like that) regales the crowd with a few incongruous covers. A few weeks back, he channeled his inner female soul singer for Aretha Franklin's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." Get More »
