Kristen Wiig Has a Wiig-ish Meltdown in 'Girl Most Likely' Trailer
Okay, now that we've (reluctantly) accepted the fact that Annette Bening is old enough to have a daughter as old as Kristen Wiig, we can attend to the task at hand.
One of SNL's all-time MVPs, Kristen Wiig has struggled to find life after "Bridesmaids," the runaway comedy hit that, believe it or not, is now two years old. Wiig seemed poised for Will Ferrell-sized superstardom after that flick made a bajillion bucks, but oddly enough she's been unable to find the proper follow-up (which is no small task, mind you -- "Bridemaids" is a truly brilliant piece of work). The New 'Despicable Me 2' Trailer Is So Cute You're Going to Hate Yourself
Okay, all you cynics out there. We know exactly what you're thinking when it comes to "Despicable Me 2." All those little "cuddly" minions and their "hilarious" nonsensical dialogue. The cutesy story about a bad guy turning good due to the love of children. The corporate tie-ins. We get it. You're determined to hate on this thing. We're right there with you.
Or, you know, we would be. Exceeeept, check out the new Apple Trailers clip for "Despicable Me 2," you guys. Because it's just so gosh darn cute and fun that even the most cynical fan will love it despite themselves.
Dang it, it's hard to be darkly edgy when they keep putting out stuff like this! Get More »
Two New 'Anchorman 2' Sequel Secrets Revealed
DreamWorks
Things have been pretty hush hush lately in the "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" department, but today not one but two major news bits about the long-awaited sequel have come down.
While the first installment saw anchor Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), weatherman Brick (Steve Carell), Champ (David Koechner), Brian (Paul Rudd) and Veronica (Christina Applegate) holdin' it down in sunny San Diego, Channel Four's pack of weirdos just wouldn't be news folk worth a darn if New York City wasn't their Mecca. So, writer Adam McKay is sending them to the east coast this go-round for some Big Apple-style funzies. Get More »

UPDATE: Kristen Wiig is back in Burgundy. The "Bridesmaids" star is now confirmed in "Anchorman 2," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Well, Christina Applegate will certainly be thankful for the extra estrogen.
The (mostly) boys club that is KVWN-TV Channel 4 Evening News may be getting even more of a lady's touch as Kristen Wiig is rumored to be signing on to "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," according to The Wrap. Get More »

Well, where has this one been hiding?
Kristen Wiig and Hailee Steinfeld are set to explore a rather polarizing relationship as they've signed on for the indie drama, "Hateship, Friendship," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Guy Pearce and Nick Nolte are also attached to the film that's been flying under the radar and is set to start shooting in mere days. Get More »
No Longer a 'Bridesmaid': Ellie Kemper Weds
It's official: "Bridesmaids" star Ellie Kemper is off the market.
The fiery actress, who also appears in NBC's hit series "The Office," married longtime boyfriend, writer Michael Koman on Saturday. The couple tied the knot in New York City in front of family and friends, according to People. Get More »
Kristen Wiig Has Moves Like Jagger In Tearful 'SNL' Farewell
It's always sad when your favorite star leaves your favorite TV show, but when that star is "Bridesmaids" superstar Kristen Wiig and the show is "Saturday Night Live," well, let's just say that mixed feelings don't even begin to describe it. More Wiig movies? Great. Less Wiig every weekend?
Well, that's something even Mick Jagger is moved to tears over. Get More »
It's 'The Hunger Games' vs. 'Bridesmaids' at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards
Katniss Everdeen may have survived the Games, but we'll have to see how she fares against Kristen Wiig and her band of crazies — or, rather, ladies — as "The Hunger Games" and "Bridesmaids" lead the 2012 MTV Movie Award nominations with eight apiece, including Movie of the Year.
That's not a typo: The usually dominant "Twilight" series and its 2011 entry, "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," nabbed only two nominations (Movie of the Year and Best Kiss), while movies like "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," (six noms) "21 Jump Street" (six) and "The Help" (four) fared better and will have more chances at bringing home Golden Popcorn statues.
'Descendants' Writers Make a Move on Wiig
Oh, what a difference an Oscar makes. Screenwriters Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who co-wrote "The Descendants" with Alexander Payne (and nabbed the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay), have sold an action-comedy with Kristen Wiig attached to star.
Though details remain scant, word around Tinseltown is that the sale was competitive with the writers fielding offers from muliple studios (which just so happens to be every writer's dream come true). According to Show Blitz, Indian Paintbrush — which has "Jeff Who Lives at Home" and "Seeking a Friend at the End of the World" out soon — won the bidding war for this Wiig starrer. Get More »
