Witness the Kevin Bacon Portrait Made of Bacon
Well this was certainly inevitable… DELICIOUSLY INEVITABLE, that is.
Kevin Bacon, actor, musician, and subject of annoying party games in basements all over the world, has been immortalized in a portrait made entirely out of rich, succulent bacon. Get More »
Google's 'Kevin Bacon' Search Is a Degree or Two Off
Now you can play everyone's favorite party game ... without using your brain.
Well, sort of. In another example of how a computer is only as smart as its creator (or something), the new Google search tool that allows you to calculate any actor's "Bacon Number" — the number of degrees he or she is removed from a Kevin Bacon movie — doesn't (yet) beat good old-fashioned human memory. George Clooney, Brad Pitt and More Help Defeat Prop '8' Onstage
What does it take to get people to a play these days? How about George Clooney, Kevin Bacon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Martin Sheen, John C. Reilly, and a promising theatrical newcomer named Brad Pitt.
All these celebs came out in force to participate in a live benefit reading/YouTube broadcast of Academy Award-winning "Milk" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black's play "8," based on California's monumental Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial, which ruled the same-sex marriage-banning bill Proposition 8 unconstitutional in February of this year.
The reading was directed by filmmaker/noted political activist/one-time "Meathead" Rob Reiner, no stranger to charged courtroom drama after "A Few Good Men" and "Ghosts of Mississippi," who is also planning a documentary about Prop 8. Get More »

Ever wonder what the original star of "Footloose" thinks of the reboot? (We're talking about Kevin Bacon, in case you've managed to still be unfamiliar with the '84 classic.)
Well, thanks to the wonders of the Internet, wonder no more. In one word, he thinks it "rocked."

'Footloose' Cuts Loose on Blu-ray for the First Time
Every generation has a story about rebellious teens who rise up and challenge the oppressive adults threatening to extinguish their youthful fun. Not surprisingly, the Reagan Era had more of these movies than most, and 1984's "Footloose" was the most contagious of them all, with its energetic, hits-filled soundtrack featuring the maddeningly catchy title song by Kenny Loggins.
Kevin Bacon stars as Ren McCormack, a Chicago teen who moves with his mother to the small town of Bomont in what appears to be Utah, where the film was shot. Bomont is a repressed Christian community under the influence of Reverend Shaw Moore (John Lithgow), a rousing orator who has convinced his congregation that rock music is the Devil's work and that dancing should remain banned in Bomont.
