It's a game pretty much anyone can play, depending on the rules — we employ the First Name: First Pet, Last Name: Street You Grew Up On method (our apologies to those with allergies, maybe you had a goldfish?). And the results are, without fail, hilarious.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Settle Their Divorce in Super-Speed

We've gotta admit, we were expecting the divorce proceedings between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes — which began a little more than a week ago when Holmes filed for divorce and sole custody of their daughter Suri Cruise — to be slow and sticky. But TomKat has always had a way of always keeping us on our toes, and what better way to finish it out than to surprise the world with a surprisingly peaceable and quick settlement?

The Divorce Starts Here: TomKat's First Court Date Set

Never fear: Katie Holmes has not filed for an emergency hearing after all, her lawyer confirms.
"The reports about an emergent filing last Friday are incorrect. Other than her action for divorce, the only pending application filed by Ms. Holmes remains her request for an anonymous caption." (The "caption" refers to the first section of any legal document, which typically includes crucial information such as the name, address and other contact information for the person filing.)
But don't think that means things aren't moving along for TomKat's divorce. Holmes will receive a swift hearing on July 17 in New York City. The order to show cause hearing requires that Holmes give reasons why a temporary decision should be made before the other side responds, and is typically used to speed up the process when a decision is needed more quickly than a notice of motion. Tom Cruise's couch-jumping days are over, as Katie Holmes filed for divorce last Thursday, while the actor was conveniently out of the country shooting the thriller "Oblivion" in Iceland. While we can't say we're too surprised at this development, we have to admit some of the details that are starting to emerge have given us slight pause.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cruise — who turns 50 tomorrow — didn't see it coming. At all. Like, he had legitimately no idea. Though he confirmed (via his rep) that he was "deeply saddened" about the development, he promises he is "concentrating on his three children." Remember back in high school when you didn't read Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" even though it was assigned to you over and over again?
Well, now you can make up for lost time thanks to Christian Camargo's ambitious plans to reboot this literary classic. No, really, you might actually be interested this go-round.
That's because Camargo (best known for his killer role in season one of "Dexter") is gearing up to make his directorial debut (from a script he also wrote) with a retelling of Chekhov's most famous play that puts Katie Holmes front-and-center.
