Let's face it, it sucks when people die. Except sometimes in the movie, because then it gives filmmakers an opportunity to put together an amazing ensemble cast for one of those big family dramas where everyone comes together and their shared grief causes them all to say a bunch of stuff nobody should probably say out loud.
Hey, if someone has to die to give us a new Meryl Streep movie, then so be it. Get More »
Hollywood can be a big, weird, lonely place. Sometimes, for better or worse, that's going to make you want to get with Cher. And as Woody Allen once said, in defending his controversial relationship with his adopted daughter, the heart wants what the heart wants.
It's not for us to judge.
Just kidding! Of course it is. Here are 10 of the most bizarre Hollywood couples ever, past and present. Get More »
Remember when we decided to do a few face swaps for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" photos? Of course you do. They were so hilariously creepy that you will probably never be able to get those images out of your head.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the Internet, we've dug up some photos to keep you horrified. Someone decided to give a few rom-com posters a facelift — or two — and swap the faces of the lovable leads.
So if you've ever wondered if Richard Gere could pull off Julia Roberts' iconic hair and thigh-high boots in "Pretty Woman" or if Sarah Jessica Parker is laid-back enough to fill Matthew McConaughey's shoes in "Failure to Launch," the answer is in this imgur photo album, and it's not pretty. In the UK, redheads or "gingers," once considered evil demonic spawn, are regularly insulted and abused. But we in America have a long-standing love affair with strawberry locks, so much so that many blondes and brunettes have dyed their hair to become famous fiery redheads, a la Lucille Ball, Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone.
In honor of Pixar's new "Brave" heroine Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald), we've assembled our list of favorite cinematic gingers -- and by that we mean the characters were redheads, not necessarily the actors. Yes, they're all ladies, but we'd love it if more actors like Damian Lewis, Michael Fassbender and Kevin McKidd let their ginger flags fly high. Rupert Grint can't be the only one to represent, guys. Thanks to visionary director Tarsem Singh, we're getting a brightly-colored spin on the classic Snow White tale with "Mirror Mirror."
And, with Julia Roberts as The Queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and Armie Hammer as Prince Alcott, you know those bright colors are coming in the form of set design and, of course, fashion. From bouffant gowns to Elizabethan-influenced clothing, we were entranced by the costumes and couldn't help but wonder what the modern-day fairytale characters would wear.
Alas, our latest Get the Goods can help you realize our visions (and sketch out your shopping list).
Director Tarsem Singh has traded the savage mythic bloodletting of "Immortals" for a sweetly Grimm fairy tale in "Mirror Mirror."
Lily Collins is the fair Snow White, weaving a spell of beauty and enchantment in her wake, while Julia Roberts is the evil queen hellbent on shoveling some Snow. This unabashedly kid-friendly retelling costars Armie Hammer as the Prince who hearts Snow White, and Sean Bean once again playing a game of thrones as The King.
If eyes are the windows to the soul, then eyebrows are the hairy curtain rods. And with each passing decade, the fickle tastes of the moviegoing masses swing wildly from one grooming extreme to another, whether it's a liking for light plucking or an all-out paint job.
Fortunately, for us lovers of the bushier brow, au naturel is back in vogue with Lily Collins, star of "Mirror Mirror" (March 30), raising eyebrows everywhere. Here's our top 9 list of impressive brow-beaters.
Richard Gere has been a major movie actor for decades now, becoming an A-list superstar thanks to the massive 1990 international blockbuster "Pretty Woman," arguably the most popular and successful romcom of all time.
But how does Gere feel nowadays the meal ticket that's fed him for the rest of his professional life?
He thinks it sucks. On ice. Get More »
Fairy tale season has officially begun.
The inclement weather didn't keep the stars from attending the "Mirror Mirror" premiere on Saturday morning, as Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, director Tarsem Singh and even Lily's proud papa Phil Collins cast a spell on the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
The proceedings looked more like a movie set than a premiere, as several guests attended in costume to celebrate the first of two Snow White movies set to be released in 2012.
Enjoy our magical collection of red carpet photos. "Mirror Mirror" will conjure itself in theaters on March 30.
It took a lot of begging and pleading from both producers and the public, but for whatever reason Johnny Depp saw it in his heart to return in one knockout scene in the new film version of "21 Jump Street," based on the hit Fox TV show that made him a star.
To put him in the ranks of some of the greatest movie cameos ever, we're counting down 35 surprise appearances in movies that pleased and shocked us -- and left us wanting more. Get More »
