Last month, New Line released "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," its first sequel to 2008's "Journey to the Center of the Earth," sans its original lead Brendan Fraser. Vanessa Hudgens will be setting sail with Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson in "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Brendan Fraser-less sequel to "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D" features young Sean (Hutcherson) joining forces with his mom's boyfriend (The Rock!) to find his missing grandfather.
Vanessa will be playing something of a love interest for Hutcherson as they battle the torrid elements and horrific beasties. Perhaps she'll even burst into song at some point. Get More »
