Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" sequel's subtitle might be "The Legend Continues" but it should probably be re-dubbed "A Series Of Potentially Distracting Cameo Appearances" (although that would be really hard to fit on the marquee). Kanye West, Tina Fey, Kristin Wiig, Nicole Kidman, Sacha Baron Cohen, Amy Poehler (whom "Anchorman" die hards will remember had a sizable role in the first film, only to see her entire subplot deleted from the final product), Liam Neeson, John C. Reilly, Jim Carrey and Harrison Ford have all shot cameos for the hotly anticipated sequel (also: an animatronic shark).
The latest celebrity to be roped into this cameo feeding frenzy? None other than Canadian rapper Drake.

The MTV Movie Awards turns 22 this Sunday, April 14, which means yes, our beloved awards show has been drinking legally for a year.
In people years, the MTV Movie Awards still wouldn't be able to rent a car at the regular rate; but in the accolades-passing-out universe, 22 consecutive years of awarding popcorn statues to the A-list, producing the funniest movie spoofs ever, trying to wrangle Jim Carrey through his many stunts and witnessing the horror that was Borat's booty in Eminem's face has made it one of the most fun, most can't-be-missed awards shows in all Awards Show Land. It's been kind of a mixed bag recently for Jim Carrey. On the one hand, his latest comedy, "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," did an amazing disappearing act at the box office last month. On the other hand, he's been building up a lot of buzz for his scene-stealing role in the upcoming superhero satire "Kick-Ass 2." And on the third hand, he got himself embroiled in controversy yet again thanks to an unabashedly anti-NRA skit over on Funny Or Die.
But while Carrey has been up and down recently, he's about to get some big ups, as according to The Hollywood Reporter Carrey has just signed on to headline the new comedy "Ricky Stanicky." Get More »

Do you believe in magic? We sure hope you do — but even if you don't, we're sure to make believers out of you with "MTV First: The Incredible Burt Wonderstone."
Airing tonight at 7:56 p.m. ET, MTV's latest round of "MTV First" goodness takes two of the magic world's greatest rivals (or, at least, two of the comedy world's greatest talents playing two of the magic world's greatest rivals) and places them together on the same stage. "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" stars Steve Carell and Jim Carrey will be together in the hot seat, joining forces with MTV News' Josh Horowitz to present an on-air clip from their new comedy.
After that, they'll all stick together for a 30-minute sit-down interview airing on MTV.com. Carell and Carrey will be doing more than just answering Horowitz's silly line of questioning (yes, Josh, it really is important that you call them "illusions," not "tricks"), as they will be opening the floor for fan questions, too.
Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck managed to make this year's Best Picture, "Argo," unforgettable, a sentiment with which the Academy clearly agreed. As exciting as the caper was throughout, it was the climax scene -- the great escape! -- that made the movie a commercial and critical success.
Would it have had the same resonance, though, if rubber-faced funnyman Jim Carrey bamboozled his way into the film? Well, it wouldn't necessarily have been as affecting, per se, but it sure would be a spectacle to watch, as proven in this "alternative ending" that throws Fire Marshall Bill into the mix. Get More »
Putting out a bunch of great movies like "Iron Man," "Thor," "Captain America" and "The Avengers" will buy you some major leeway among fans. You know, obviously these guys know what they're doing. But Marvel is straining fan confidence to the absolute limit today, as Latino Review is reporting that the studio is currently in talk with a couple very unlikely stars to appear in their upcoming sci-fi action blockbuster "The Guardians of the Galaxy."
Are you ready for Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey: Intergalactic superheroes?
Now, before you jump off Stark Tower, there are a coupld things to keep in mind. First, "Guardians of the Galaxy" is being directed by James Gunn, who is responsible for offbeat genre comedies like "Slither" and "Super," so you know there's going to be some weird humor in it. Secondly, Sandler and Carrey are only in very preliminary talks. And thirdly, both of them have done some really excellent voice work in the past. Get More »
