'Iron Man 3': Don Cheadle Spills Real Story On Gwyneth Paltrow's Armor

[From MTV NewsRobert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle had Gwyneth Paltrow chucklingwhen they said their "Iron Man" suits were cumbersome and uncomfortable. But is Paltrow really tougher than the guys? Cheadle has a different story.

"Because she didn't wear it," Cheadle told MTV News about his "Iron Man 3" costar. "Hers was drawn on. Hers was CGI."

Cheadle plays Colonel James Rhodes, who wears the Iron Patriot armor. He said he was disappointed that the suit hadn't gotten more comfortable since he donned it in "Iron Man 2." "I mean, that's a chief complaint I logged," Cheadle explained. "It's like, 'You guys didn't get this more refined? It still weighs this much? I still can't articulate the arms to touch my face when I wear it.' But we know what it is when we sign up to do it, and it was great to come back and recreate the character again."

Questions and Answers With Don Cheadle

Marvel's Phase Two of movies rockets to new heights with "Iron Man Three," a surprisingly funny and explosive sequel with Robert Downey Jr. back as the man in the iron suit facing off against a mysterious new enemy known as the Mandarin. Also back is Don Cheadle for his second stint playing Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, Tony's best friend and the man who suits up in the War Machine armor that has been painted in a red, silver and blue patriotic design re-named the Iron Patriot.

Cheadle, who took over the role of Rhodey from Terrence Howard in "Iron Man 2," is a versatile actor who is just as at home in the porn world of "Boogie Nights" as he is in a superhero's iron suit or in his Oscar-nominated role in "Hotel Rwanda."

We sat down with the Iron Patriot himself as he talked about Rhodey's superhero potential, what he spent his first professional paycheck on and whether or not he thinks he's a film snob. Get More »

'Iron Man 3' British Premiere Delayed for Iron Lady's Funeral

Robert Downey Jr. in The Avengers Marvel

Tony Stark might not always be flexible, but when he is it's totally an international affair.

The funeral for the late prime minister Margaret Thatcher is scheduled (say that with a "shh" sound for the occasion) to take place next Wednesday, April 17, which also happens to be the date the "Iron Man 3" London premiere was supposed to take place, so Disney has now decided to push the prem date back a day in deference. See Baby Leonardo DiCaprio Audition for 'The Outsiders'

Darren Julien and Martin Nolan of Julien's Auction House brought a valuable property with them to "Today," where Matt Lauer was bestowed early audition tapes featuring A-list movie stars. Three casting directors have released these 54 tapes to the public, and if you have $2000-$4000 bucks to spare (as Julien estimates the bidding prices), you may need a very good reason to buy a VCR...or a VHS-to-DVD converter. Judd Apatow's new comedy, "This Is 40," presents the many challenges that come with middle age, such as being attractive, having amusing and dedicated friends and wallowing in complete financial stability.

It's not all mundane tedium, though — sometimes you also just go crazy and get high in hotel rooms and caress Megan Fox's pert, twentysomething breasts.

Let's face it — something about being rich and famous kind of slows down the aging process that us regular schmoes have to contend with. Here are a few celebrity types who make 40 look like the new 25.

20 Movie Stars You Didn't Know Were Jewish

Universal

Ah, Hanukah! Festival of Lights! A time for Jews everywhere to get together in a spirit of peace, give gifts and sing songs. These are good questions; deep questions. And who better to ask than Hollywood's Jewish stars! But who's Jewish? It's no shock that certain actors are from the tribe (shalom, Sasha Baron Cohen!), but Zac Efron? Get More »

The 25 Best Music Performances in Movies

Pitch Perfect Universal

Actors are trained to be able to portray just about anything their role calls for, but there's one thing even the best actors can't possibly fake: Singing.

That's why we're always so impressed when actors sing on screen rather than just lip-synch some professional musician. Case in point: Next week's "Pitch Perfect," which features stars such as Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson belting out tunes like the divas they were meant to be. Get More »
