'Community' Star Gillian Jacobs Starts 'Seeking a Friend For the End of the World'

Gillian Jacobs, the flaxen-haired sometimes love interest of Joel McHale on the hit series "Community," is about to cozy up to a whole new crowd.
The starlet has been tapped for Lorene Scafaria's "Seeking A Friend for the End of the World," which follows two neighbors who connect on a road trip set against the backdrop of an asteroid hurtling toward Earth.
Jacobs joins an A-list cast, led by Steve Carell and Keira Knightley (who play the two neighbors in question), that also counts William Peterson, Adam Brody, Rob Corddry and Derek Luke among its members. Get More »

Every great leader needs a romantic interest to keep them grounded, even the oppressive tyrant-type.
In Sacha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator," that person could be one of the funniest ladies working in comedy. Kristen Wiig, Anna Faris and "Community" star Gillian Jacobs are on a short list, according to Hollywood Reporter, to join the "Borat" and "Bruno" frontman in his new, semi-scripted comedy, set to shoot in in New York and Morocco this summer.
