Looking for a good investment? Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart are pretty much guaranteed to make you money — like, a lot of it.

The "Black Swan" and "Twilight" beauties (respectively) are the toast of the town as they top the list of Forbes' Best Actors For the Buck, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Portman ranked No. 1, bringing in $42.70 in box office returns for every dollar the studios spend on her, with K.Stew close behind with a $40.60 return on investment. Despite headlining such big franchises as "Twilight" and "Snow White and the Huntsman," Stewart was bested by Portman mostly due to the incredible $329 million worldwide gross of "Black Swan," which cost all of $13 million to produce.

Also, believe it or not, "No Strings Attached" cost, like, ten bucks and earned $150 million. Were you one of the people who contributed to that?

Shia LaBeouf ($35.80), K.Stew's "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson ($31.70) and Daniel Radcliffe ($30.50) round out the top five, with "Here Comes the Boom" star Kevin James making a surprise appearance on the list at No. 10 with $22.40.

Well, this is certainly a better Forbes list to be on than, say, the Most Overpaid Actors of 2012. Maybe Natalie Portman and Eddie Murphy should make a movie together just to see if it breaks exactly even?

Portman is currently filming "Thor: The Dark World," which hits theaters on Nov. 8, 2013, and is in pre-production on a new western, "Jane Got a Gun."

The higher they fly, the farther they fall, right?

Eddie Murphy, who was largely considered to be box office gold during his '80s and early '90s heyday, has now been certified as Hollywood's most overpaid actor of the year by Forbes.

According to their number crunching of Murphy's earned salary over his last three movies — "Imagine That," "A Thousand Words" and "Meet Dave" — versus those films' box office muster, the movies have only brought in around $2.30 for every $1 he earned. Those are some slim profit margins.

Forbes twisted the knife farther by making note of Murphy's dismal "Tower Heist" numbers from last year (a pithy $78 million earned domestically on a $75 million production budget) and his recusal of the 2012 Oscars hosting post as evidence of his fallen star status.

This isn't the first time Murphy's been fingered as an overearner by Forbes, either. Last year, he placed number two on the list for his slightly higher $1 to $2.70 ratio (but, to be fair, "Meet Dave" and "Imagine That" factored into last year's value slaying results as well).

Following Murphy on the top 10 list of shame were Katherine Heigl, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Jack Black, Nicolas Cage, Adam Sandler, Denzel Washington, Ben Stiller and Sarah Jessica Parker.

We get the feeling none of these will be writing home to mom over this recognition. Could you imagine? "Hey, Ma! You were right! I am more trouble than I'm worth."

Kristen Stewart makes more money than you do ... and more than most of her movie star colleagues, too.

Kristen Stewart makes a lot of money.

Not surprisingly, the "Twilight" star has emerged at the top of Forbes' list of the highest earning actresses of the past year, beating out such competitors (and veteran stars) as Cameron Diaz (#2), Sandra Bullock (#3), Angelina Jolie (#4) and her "Snow White and the Huntsman" co-star, Charlize Theron (#5).

As K.Stew has become an indispensable part of the "Twilight" franchise, she's been able to demand a paycheck of $12.5 million plus a share of the profits for the last two installments in the series. Summit knows the fans would revolt if they tried to bring in a much less expensive actress to play Bella Swan at this point, so they're more than willing to pay up - and, thanks to the profits of the "Twilight" films and related merchandise, they can certainly afford it.

K.Stew's bank account also got a nice deposit this past year from "Snow White and the Huntsman," for which she earned between $15-$20 million, depending on what report you read. She took a considerable pay cut for her appearance in "On the Road," however, as big stars often do for personal little films that they "believe in."

We'll have to see if Kristen stays on top next year as "Twilight" comes to conclusion with the release of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on Nov. 16. Until then, she's sitting atop a pile of cash, wondering, "Who's 'Julia Roberts'?"

You can see the complete list (and gallery!) of the highest earning actresses at Forbes' Official Site.
