In the true spirit of the franchise, star Vin Diesel has confirmed that a seventh "Fast & Furious" is already in the works—even though shooting the sixth hasn't started yet. (According to the action hero, the story is just "too massive" to be corralled into a single movie.)
Diesel explains that the scripts are being written simultaneously (which is a pretty tall order if you ask us, but we digress). No word yet on whether they will shoot the installments back-to-back or if the cast and crew will get a little break in between. But, let's be honest, this franchise isn't really about taking things slow.
Why the rush? It's really a matter of housekeeping. "With the success of the last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn't have enough space," Diesel says. Well, sort of. Eva Mendes, probably best known for her role in the Will Smith comedy "Hitch," is about to get serious.
Word on the street is that the brunette beauty will shoot scenes next month for the upcoming film, "Holly Motors," from director Leos Carax (the French guy auteur behind the notorious "Pola X" and "Les Amants du Pont Neuf").
Hot chicks with guns. Is there anything sexier?
Yes, of course there is. Lingerie models come to mind. Bikinis. Maybe some sort of naughty teacher scenario. But if you're one of those socially maladjusted guys [raises hand] that can only express your suppressed sexuality through the heroine avatars of your favorite violent video game, then you'll want to check out "Colombiana" (in theaters Aug. 26), starring Zoe Saldana.
And if you absolutely require more ammo-fueled feminism, we've made a list of film's 20 hottest pistol-totin' babes, just for you.
While there's no word if director Derek Cianfrance next movie will feature even half as much making out as his debut film "Blue Valentine," it does show promise with its above average quantity of beautiful people. Because we know how much beautiful people love to make beautiful kissies.
"The Place Beyond the Pines" has already signed up chiseled leading men Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper in the respective lead roles of stunt-driver-turned-bank-robber and cop-turned-politician who doesn't like stunt-driver-turned-bank-robbers -- and now it has set of equally stunning female co-stars.
Massy Tadjedin's "Last Night" has been in the can for sometime, first debuting at last year's Toronto Film Festival, but now we've finally got a look, and release date, for the romantic drama.
Starring Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington, the film revolves around a married couple who, in only one night apart, see themselves questioning their relationship and life choices. Seducing them away from their significant others are the always-gorgeous Eva Mendes and suave, French actor Guillaume Canet ("Tell No One").
So many beautiful people in one movie... no wonder there's rumbling at the core. Get More »
The remake of "Total Recall" has been chugging along so quietly that you might have forgotten it was even happening.
But it's still on, and set to be directed by Len Wiseman. Colin Farrell is starring as Douglas Quaid, who was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original. (How would you like to try and fill those shoes?)
But "Total Recall" needs women. In fact, it needs two of them. Get More »
France is full of interesting stuff. Croissants, berets, the Eiffel Tower. And today they also have some very interesting film news, as the French movie site Ecran Large is reporting that Beatrice Leterrier, the wife of "Clash of the Titans" director Louis Leterrier, is about to direct her own movie -- and Eva Mendes is going to star in it.
Or, you know, maybe not. It's sometimes hard to tell with these things. Get More »
What could possibly attract an actor like Sam Worthington away from high, 7-digit paydays? Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes, apparently.
(That would pretty much do it for any man, right?)
Worthington's decision to star in "Last Night," the latest romantic drama about the extra-marital misdoings of impossibly beautiful post-humans, is a measured departure from the alien and god slaying that define him. Get More »
Like his sometimes-partner in crime, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez loves his leading ladies powerful, in control, and hot to the touch. In his latest B-movie homage "Machete," Rodriguez serves up not one but three badass babes (Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan).
Since first breaking out onto the scene will his tiny-budget debut, "El Mariachi," in which Consuelo Gomez starred as sexy bar owner Domino, Rodriguez has remained enamored with his flaming femmes. Get More »
