Hey, if we were in that armored truck, we'd start thinking about what we could do with all that money, too. Baby or no baby.
You can't make a movie about armored vehicle cops without having those cops get tempted by all that money they drive around, and "Empire State" is no exception. In this exclusive deleted scene from the film, Chris Potamatis (Liam Hemsworth) starts thinking that his new life as a young dad might be a lot easier if he pocketed some of this cash literally spread out at his feet, his larcenous thoughts seemingly narrated by his devil-on-his-shoulder colleague driving the truck.
Don't do it, Liam. Such schemes never work out in these kinds of movies.
"Empire State" co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Emma Roberts and revolves around two childhood friends who plan to rob an armored car depository and the NYPD officer who stands in their way. The film comes out on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 3.
He's walked tall, been cool and felt the need for speed in "Faster" and "Fast Five." Now, 2013 is truly the Year of the Rock, with the WWE Champion appearing in no less than five feature films.
We begin this week with the release of "Snitch," in which he plays the greatest dad in the world. Five weeks later, he'll be fighting for freedom in the "G.I. Joe" sequel (March 29), and four weeks after that he'll be robbing from the rich in Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain." (April 26). That's not all — four weeks after that, he'll be feeling that need for speed again with "Fast & Furious 6" (May 24). You'd think he'd take a vacation after all that, but no, he'll also be investigating an armored car heist in "Empire State," which will probably hit theaters this fall.
Let's get the Year started with hotness, shall we?
The "Twilight" gang has stayed plenty busy since launching straight into the cultural zeitgeist four years ago, and some of the franchise actors have had much more luck than others when it comes to scoring impressive and interesting roles.
One nabbed an Oscar nom, two had films in competition at Cannes this year, and another headlines an exciting new J.J. Abrams series this fall. Others have endured critical and box office flops, straight-to-DVD blunders and yes, even a Razzie "win."
Until this weekend, though, none have stretched their legs into new series territory -- but Kristen Stewart really puts her box-office muster to the test as she moves from the damp world of Forks into the clutches of Ravenna's evil queen-dom for "Snow White and the Huntsman." In celebration of her second franchise bid, we take a look at what all of the "Twilight" kids have been up to since first making their mark on modern pop culture not too long ago.
Usually when you're making a big-budget movie, having actors is one of the main requirements. You know, it helps. But even though "Empire State" is set to begin filming in less than a week, until now half the cast was still up in the air.
Well, better late than never: According to Deadline, "The Twilight Saga"'s Nikki Reed will be joining "Empire State" along with fellow newcomers Chris Diamantopoulos ("The Three Stooges"), Michael Angarano ("Red State," "Haywire"), Jerry Ferrara ("Entourage") and Paul Ben-Victor ("In Plain Sight").

Best known for her work in "Scream 4" and a slew of indie flicks that hit the film festival circuit (most recently "Celeste and Jesse Forever"), Emma Roberts is about to make a leap to the big leagues. The starlet has signed on for Dito Montiel's "Empire State," which already counts Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson among its cast.
Based on true events dating back to 1982, the story follows two childhood friends (Hemsworth will play one) from Astoria, N.Y., who plot to rob an armored car depository.
Liam Hemsworth is seriously blowing up.
When he introduced himself to audiences alongside his real-life girlfriend Miley Cyrus in "The Last Song," he seemed like a nice enough chap, but not necessarily a movie star, you know? But since then he's landed key roles in both "The Expendables 2" and a little something called "The Hunger Games" — and now, according to Deadline, he's just signed a deal to co-star with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson" in a honest-to-god heist action thriller.
