Warner Bros. subsidiary New Line is not optimistic about the prospects for a sequel to Carrey's '90s hit "Dumb and Dumber," which co-starred Jeff Daniels. Jim Carrey is seriously having himself quite a week. First we premiered the brand new trailer for the hotly anticipated hardcore superhero sequel "Kick-Ass 2" yesterday, which co-stars Carrey as club-wielding psycho Colonel Stars and Stripes. And then last night was the world premiere of his new movie "Burt Wonderstone," which sees Carrey facing off against Steve Carell in a battle of comedic heavyweights.
And now? Well, according to Access Hollywood, Carrey revealed that he and Jeff Daniels may reunite for "Dumb and Dumber 2" (rumored to be titled "Dumb and Dumber To") as early as next year.

Once upon a time, "The Shining" was recut to look like a family comedy, and so began the art of the recut trailer. It's since become a common part of the Internet landscape, but credit should always be paid to the originator, which is why a mashup of Kubrick's classic with "Dumb and Dumber" is a truly decadent, demented pleasure.
