Dominic Monaghan Turns Us On -- to Movies, Music & More
Just because you hail from Middle-earth doesn't mean you're not hip to the more media-centric pleasures in life.
Dominic Monaghan has certainly come a long way since first getting our attention with his memorable turn as Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Since traversing the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, Monaghan has played a drug-addicted rock star lost in limbo (or something) on ABC's hit series, "Lost," tried the whole Marvel mythology on for size with his role as Bolt in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and haunted cemeteries as a graverobber in the cult comedy, "I Sell the Dead."
The former Hobbit, who stars in the science-fiction action film, "The Day," opening Aug. 29, took a break from defending humanity to offer us his personal pop culture picks. Get More »
Movie Stars Love Karaoke, Too
This just in: Karaoke isn't just for "regular" (and slightly intoxicated) folks anymore. Maybe it's the instant broadcast power of YouTube, but it seems that more and more movie stars are getting the urge to show off their singing chops to rooms full of strangers.
Last weekend at Fantastic Fest, Dominic Monaghan strapped on an A's hat and belted out some classic Vanilla Ice. And he's not the only one. From Emily Blunt to Gerard Butler, the stars are taking iconic songs into their own hands. And from the looks of it, they can ruin them just as well as the rest of us. Get More »

Braddock Vs. Baer… Ali Vs. Foreman… Tyson Vs. Spinks… Baggins Vs. Brandybuck???

In case you haven't heard, "The Change-Up" follows two friends -- played by Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman -- who accidentally swap bodies. Like the many body-swap comedies that came before it, hilarity ensues.
But what if this could happen in real life? Even if it were just for 24 hours, who's shoes would you want to fill?
We asked 23 celebrities -- from Emma Roberts and Jesse Eisenberg to John C. Reilly and Hilary Duff -- who they would want to be for a brief moment. Their responses were, well, rather interesting. One person even wanted to try being Charlie Sheen for a day!

Dominic Monaghan Returning to Middle-earth... But Only As Tourist
Though the past couple months have introduced us to numerous new and returning residents of Middle-earth, we can kiss one familiar hobbit goodbye for good: Merry Brandybuck, played by Dominic Monaghan ("Lost," "Flash Forward") in the original "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
When we met up with Monaghan at San Diego Comic-Con, we asked if there's any chance we'll see his furry feet grace the screen in "The Hobbit."
"I don't think so," he told us regretfully. "In terms of would I want to? Of course. It's an amazing project and something I'd be overjoyed to work on."
"Elijah [Wood] is going down there and I might go down with him to check all the stuff out," he added. Get More »
