Eff, Marry, Kill: Nicholas Sparks Edition

It's time to face reality: It's Nicholas Sparks' world. We just live in it.

Really, the prolific romance author plays us like goddamn puppets. The author has seen eight of his novels adapted for the screen, to stunningly successful results. "The Notebook" makes our romantic lives pale in comparison, and the devotion between Mandy Moore and Shane West in "A Walk to Remember" is swoon-worthy. Let's not even get started on "Dear John" — it's enough to make a girl want to invest in personalized stationery.

Since there's not even a point to these movies other than romance, let's get to business: Which of these gentlemanly characters would we most like to take home to our dewy-eyed mothers, which would we hit and quit, and which would we just, well...hit? Yes, it's time for Eff, Marry, Kill: Nicholas Sparks Edition. Get More »

Q&A: Jenna Dewan-Tatum Takes Us Back in Time for '10 Years'

Getty Images

Jenna Dewan-Tatum danced into Hollywood (literally) back in 2006, when she starred opposite heartthrob — and her future husband — Channing Tatum in "Step Up." Since then, she's been hard at work, appearing in everything from romantic thrillers, like "Falling Awake," to the defunct TV series "The Playboy Club."

After some time apart (professionally), however, she and Mr. Tatum have teamed up again, returning to the silver screen as a couple teetering on the brink of engagement in "10 Years." Penned by Jamie Linden, the scribe who brought the Channing-starrer "Dear John" to life, this romantic dramedy follows a group of high school friends the night of their 10-year reunion, as they discover they might not be as grown up as they'd like to believe.

So, is Jenna Dewan-Tatum all grown up... or what? She chatted with us about how she's changed since high school, what it was like playing her husband's girlfriend and why she wants to work with one of Channing's former on-screen flings. (Spoiler alert: it's not because she's jealous.) Get More »

Are You Ready for 'The Notebook: The Musical'?

New Line Cinema

Talk about timing! Hot on the heels of today's news that even Time thinks that Ryan Gosling is the coolest person of the year comes word that "The Notebook" is heading to the stage. No word on whether or not the former Mickey Mouseketeer will be singing and dancing on Broadway, but whoever takes on the role of Noah has some sexy shoes to fill.

Nicholas Sparks, the author of "The Notebook" and other tearjerky novels-turned-movies like "Nights in Rodanthe," "Dear John," and "The Last Song," is a pro when it comes to dealing with Hollywood. His novel "The Best of Me," about two old flames who rekindle the fires at a funeral (hot!!), has already been optioned by Warner Bros. Get More »
