Apocalypse comedies are all the rage lately – seriously, they're more common than Nicolas Cage movies right now – but in terms of originality, it's hard to beat "This Is the End."
The summer laugher, co-written and co-directed by longtime buds/collaborators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, features six of film's funniest joke-slingers (Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jay Baruchel) playing "heightened versions" of themselves on the night of The Reckoning. Better yet, it takes place at a Hollywood house party and features handfuls of celebrity cameos, many of which end in gory demises.
That leaves our six main players left to fend for themselves while utter catastrophe reigns outside of the house (Franco's) they've barricaded themselves in.
We ventured south last spring to behold some of the improv-heavy shenanigans on a soundstage outside of New Orleans, where Franco's Hollywood house had been constructed. Here are the 15 most notable quotables. Get More »
In the most recent installment of Zach Galifianakis' internet talk show "Between Two Ferns," the comedian asked weirdo superstar James Franco, "Of all the art projects you've done, what has made people roll their eyes the hardest?" And you know what? It was a fair question. Franco has a restless creative spirit that often compels him to do really annoying stuff, like a "mixed media piece" for the Stella Adler studio called "Collage" (it supposedly combined dance, theater, music and poetry), publishing a book of poorly received short stories and hosting the Oscars.
While his latest project might not be quite as obnoxious, it is similarly arty and bizarre. On Saturday he painted a mural dedicated to the co-stars of his new movie "This Is The End." Franco even chose a perfect location for his new piece, one synonymous with arty nonsense: some random wall in Brooklyn.
The "porn star name game" is a time-honored tradition in America.
It's a game pretty much anyone can play, depending on the rules — we employ the First Name: First Pet, Last Name: Street You Grew Up On method (our apologies to those with allergies, maybe you had a goldfish?). And the results are, without fail, hilarious.
We asked 100 of our favorite movie stars in Hollywood — including Emma Watson, Keira Knightley, Megan Fox, Ryan Gosling, Paul Rudd, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Katie Holmes, Jon Hamm, Emma Stone and Neil Patrick Harris — for their porn star names. They did not let us down. Click through the gallery for all 100.

When it comes to surviving an apocalypse, there are three keys every person should know. Number one: Stay calm. Number two: Always boil your water, because there's really no way of telling what kind of microbes and stuff might be in it. And most importantly of all, number three: Do not under any circumstances mess with Emma Watson.

As everyone knows, the end of the world is set to take place tomorrow. And while that's pretty upsetting for all sorts of reasons, one of the most upsetting is that it means we won't get a chance to watch next summer's comedy about the end of the world, "This Is The End."
Luckily, though, Seth Rogen and James Franco have anticipated our sadness and have given the world a very timely final parting gift: A new red band trailer.

Winona Ryder gets on the hog, our new Oldboy goes "Crazy" and Kenny Powers gets serious in this past week's casting news.
Ryder will soon be trying on some leather accessories as she signs on to play a former biker chick in "Homefront," according to Heat Vision. The film makes for a rare action movie role for Ryder, who will be playing the companion to a sleazy meth dealer (James Franco) who interferes with the quiet life being sought after by an ex-DEA agent (Jason Statham). Sylvester Stallone wrote the script, with Gary Fleder set to direct. Get More »

Warner Bros.
The numbers 4-20 have tons of significance in both world history and American culture. It's Hitler's birthday and the date of the Columbine massacre, for starters.
But since those two are such buzzkills, we'll focus on what else the date means: high time for stoners everywhere.
Looking back at our favorite stoner films, we notice many actors portray potheads one-dimensionally: eyes glazed, dopey voice, etc. We love the following movie stoners because they're not only funny, but also multidimensional.
Okay, but mostly because they're funny. Get More »
Whether he's a medieval knight ("Your Highness"), a pot dealer ("Pineapple Express"), or a bulletproof tiger/redneck baseball player ("Eastbound and Down"), Danny McBride has one mode: inappropriate.
And that's why we love him.
Thus, we are very pleased to tell you that McBride has no intention to go soft with his next project as actor-producer-writer, which Deadline says will be a remake of the Danish film and TV series "Klovn" (which means clown or fool) along with bro-centric producer Todd Phillips of "Project X" and "The Hangover"-infamy. Do you prefer your Jesse Eisenberg movies a little more "Zombieland" than "The Social Network"? If so, "30 Minutes or Less" is made to order. Don't get us wrong, Eisenberg nailed his Oscar-nominated role as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher's timely drama; but the character, unlike Eisenberg in real life, was totally unlikable and not as fun to watch.
In the raunchy action-comedy "30 Minutes or Less," Eisenberg reteams with "Zombieland" director Ruben Fleischer to play Nick, a delivery guy who has to pay for a lot of his customers' pizzas owing to his inability to deliver the dough in the guaranteed 30 minutes or less. Nick's also on the outs with his BFF Chet (Aziz Ansari) because Nick confessed that he slept with Chet's twin sister, Kate (Dilshad Vadsaria), once on graduation night and would like to do so on a regular basis. After the biting (get it?) satire of "Zombieland," director Ruben Fleischer and star Jesse Eisenberg decided to see if they could capture lightning in a bottle twice. Or that is to say, lightning in a pizza box.
In the fast-paced comedy "30 Minutes or Less," Eisenberg, aka "that guy who looks like Mark Zuckerberg," plays a pizza delivery boy caught up in a bank robbery scheme concocted by two knuckleheads (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson) who strap a bomb to him and threaten to flip the switch if he doesn't deliver $100 grand in nine hours. Presumably, their pizza is already free.
Joining Eisenberg is "Parks and Recreation" and "Human Giant" comedian Aziz Ansari as the best friend who gets roped into helping his slacker pal not die. Get a headstart on explosive laughs with the following clips. Get More »
