'The Butler' Trailer is Here to Serve You
If there was ever a more ambitious film than "The Butler," we have yet to discover it.
"Precious" director Lee Daniels efforts to recapitulate — through the real-life eyes of a lone, stolid White House butler — pretty much the entire twentieth century as it related to the American Civil Rights Movement. With a cast list that reads like a flat-out roll call for the Walk of Fame, Daniels presents the working life of Cecil Gaines (real name: Eugene Allen), a man who served eight consecutive U.S. presidents during his career and witnessed history being made first-hand.

A bunch of World War II flying aces stepped out on the red carpet on Tuesday night as the cast and crew of "Red Tails" attended the film's New York City premiere.
Ne-Yo, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Method Man, Spike Lee, James Earl Jones and even George Lucas himself were at the Ziegfeld Theater to celebrate the film that showcases the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American U.S. pilots that were suddenly called into service after being kept mostly on the ground during the war.
