7 Movies That Should've Starred Charlie Sheen

Scary Movie 5 Dimension Films

Love him or hate him, you have to admit one thing about Charlie Sheen: The guy is pretty damn entertaining.

The man who stole the 2011 media spotlight from every other celebrity with his bizarre behavior and madcap yammerings is currently making a comeback on the big screen, continuing this weekend with his turn in "Scary Movie 5." If the trailers and clips are any indication, Charlie doesn't do much in the movie beyond hang out in bed with Lindsay Lohan — which is, of course, just fine. Get More »

It's 'The Hunger Games' vs. 'Bridesmaids' at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark in "The Hunger Games"
Lionsgate

Katniss Everdeen may have survived the Games, but we'll have to see how she fares against Kristen Wiig and her band of crazies — or, rather, ladies — as "The Hunger Games" and "Bridesmaids" lead the 2012 MTV Movie Award nominations with eight apiece, including Movie of the Year.

That's not a typo: The usually dominant "Twilight" series and its 2011 entry, "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," nabbed only two nominations (Movie of the Year and Best Kiss), while movies like "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," (six noms) "21 Jump Street" (six) and "The Help" (four) fared better and will have more chances at bringing home Golden Popcorn statues.

When you're hot; you're hot. And Ryan Gosling is on fire — figuratively, of course.

The 31-year-old thesp is taking cable waves by storm this February, as Time Warner Cable's Movies On Demand channel will feature a whopping eight of the star's most popular movies, The Wrap reports. But wait; there's more.

While scrolling through TWC's movie listings, you may notice a new genre pop up. No, it's not romantic thriller, though we think that has promise, and it's not horror comedy. It's Ryan Gosling.

That's right, Ryan Gosling is now his own movie genre. Not bad for a guy whose big break was "Young Hercules." Seriously, look it up. Get More »

Although The Protestor is Time magazine's official Person of the Year, if you dig a little deeper, you can find that they, too, have a special place in their hearts for Ryan Gosling.

Dig deeper than those profiles of actual protestors, "People Who Mattered" (Adele and Abbas! Casey Anthony and Anonymous! Former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi and Kim Kardashian!), and world-shaking events like the Egyptian uprising, and you'll see that Gosling has been voted Coolest Person of the Year. Because, well, duh. Get More »

'Crazy, Stupid, Love': Neither Crazy nor Stupid on DVD and Blu-ray

Crazy Stupid Love
Warner Bros.

At one point in the ensemble romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love.", Emma Stone's character has hooked up with Ryan Gosling's, and she asks the ridiculously ripped actor to take off his shirt. "Those are Photoshopped!" she gasps as she stares wide-eyed at his abs.

Gosling's body is not artificially enhanced, but her comment can be applied to the movie in general, because the polished stars exude an effortless chemistry that makes you less likely to notice the script blemishes and plot contrivances that would make this just another rom-com with a lesser cast. Film stars and fashion go together like a horse and carriage and killer leather riding boots, and while you may live you life in Levi's jeans and Gap tees (no shame in that), you can't help but admire those chosen few who wear next season's styles like they were meant for today.

With "Crazy Stupid Love" hitting DVD and Blu-ray (featuring the ultra-fashionable Mr. Ryan Gosling), we decided it was high time to pay homage to nine movie characters whose personal styles turned the silver screen into the world's biggest runway.
