Ever since Disney acquired Lucasfilm, the world has been waiting to see what that might look like. Luckily, the team at "Conan" is more than ready to serve up a hot, piping mashup parody that certainly answers the question by marrying aliens and football.
"Yody" raises the question: What would it look like if Yoda's dream was to play football at Notre Dame? Just like Sean Astin's impossible dream in "Rudy," it certainly wouldn't be easy, considering the guy clocks in at "two feet tall, five pounds heavy, and nine hundred years old." But, hey, Disney movies never leave a dream unfulfilled, which is why seeing Yoda as Rudy is time well spent, even if it may never actually come true.
But if you're reading this, Disney execs, we'd very much like to see that come true (hint, hint).
With filming finally completed on the much anticipated and long delayed sequel to the 2009 megahit "Star Trek," fans have been eagerly awaiting the first footage from J.J. Abrams and company. And last night, Abrams delivered just that during an appearance on "Conan."
But the results may not be quite what you were expecting.
It's been more than a week since the news broke that Kristen Stewart had a fling with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, but Twi-hards are still reeling from the scandal. And no one is more upset about the Robsten break-up than funnyman Will Ferrell.
Ferrell appeared as a guest on Thursday night's "Conan" visibly upset about something. When Conan O'Brien asked Ferrell why he looked so down, "The Campaign" star couldn't contain himself as he voiced his concern over the recent break-up of the "Twilight Saga" co-stars. Get More »
"Bridesmaids" star Ellie Kemper is officially a bride.
On "Conan" Wednesday night, the 31-year-old actress confirmed that she is engaged to Michael Koman, her boyfriend of several years, People reports.
During her interview, O'Brien threw in that he wanted "to mention something … It's sort of a big deal around this office. You got engaged."
Kemper replied, "Yeah, I did!" O'Brien offered his congratulations, describing Koman as a "very talented writer who worked for me for many, many years." Get More »
At first glance, Conan the Barbarian and Conan O'Brien don't seem to have much in common.
One's a fearless warlord from the movie "Conan the Barbarian," starring "Game of Thrones" hunk Jason Momoa. The other's a red-haired funnyman with a talk show. One's got muscles. One's, um, "lanky."
But let's not be too hasty here. They do have the same first name. And... that's about it. But it's enough for us, dammit.
Feast your eyes on our re-imagining of "Conan the Barbarian" starring the true Conan, one who might slay his enemies not with a sword, but with his quick tongue and ruthless coffee mug. And since we couldn't quite picture this wondrous movie ourselves, we turned to our old pal Old Red Jalopy for help.
Why, Conan -- have you been working out? Get More »
South By Southwest is like the renegade cousin of prim and pristine Sundance. The film portion of the Austin, Texas-based festival has been kicking for seventeen glorious years, with a week of innovative films by a mix of emerging filmmakers, fresh faces, established talent and a few of the best hold-overs from Sundance.
SXSW finds its roots in rock and roll, and that spirit is alive and burning in this year's film selections. Horror flicks, music docs, sci-fi adventures, introspective dramas, off-kilter comedies and hedgehogs who love drinking beer -- no stone goes unturned.
