First Cast Photo From Von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac' Mercifully Doesn't Involve Huge Gang Bang
Lars von Trier, the notoriously outspoken filmmaker who got himself temporarily banned from the Cannes Film Festival for comments he made about Nazis (oh Lars!), has a two-part sex epic coming out later this year called "Nymphomaniac." In a press release, er, released this morning (which clearly isn't connected to Cannes going on right now), it was announced that the two films would premiere in Copenhagen in December, along with the first official photo of the films' cast. Casting Roundup: McGregor, Rockwell and Lucas Get the Gigs

All of the week's hot casting news in one fell swoop ...
• At this point, who isn't going to be in "August: Osage County"? Deadline reports that Ewan McGregor has joined the family as Bill, a college professor and estranged husband of Barbara (Julia Roberts) and son-in-law of pill-popping matriarch Violet (Meryl Streep).
• Every movie becomes better if Sam Rockwell is in it, which means "Why Now" is destined for greatness. Screen Daily reports that the "Seven Psychopaths" star has joined the cast of the indie comedy alongside Marisa Tomei and Brian Geraghty.
• Mrs. Robinson, eat your heart out! Broadway World reports that Decepticon co-ed Isabel Lucas is set to turn up the heat in "Careful What You Wish For," a "Basic Instinct"-esque thriller about a high school student's affair with an older woman that ends up having devastating consequences (as these things often do). Is Taylor Lautner Expendable… Too?

With less than a year to go before it drops into theaters brandishing firearms in both hands, "The Expendables 2" has a wishlist of actors who may fight alongside Sylvester Stallone as he continues to kick ass into his twilight years. It's no wonder that one of the stars being courted is actually from "Twilight:" Taylor Lautner.
That's right, according to The Playlist our favorite werewolf may bring out the beast in Sly, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis in the sequel to last year's geezers with guns explositorium, although for now Lautner's only a part of the filmmakers' extensive wishlist of action has-beens and newcomers.
Other new names dropped include Nicolas Cage, who previously worked with director Simon West on "Con Air" and the more recent "Medallion," Mr. Highlander himself Christopher Lambert (who appears with Cage in the "Ghost Rider" sequel), and Christian Slater, who has been kicking around New Orleans with Sly on the actioneer "Bullet to the Head." 'Freaky Deaky' Gets Majorly Freaky Cast Overhaul

This is, well, a little freaky deaky indeed.
Billy Burke, Christian Slater and Breanne Racano have all joined the cast of "Freaky Deaky," the film adaptation of Elmore Leonard's crime novel, according to Variety.
And they'll be replacing Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser and Katie Cassidy, respectively.
The reasons behind this sudden major casting overhaul are currently unknown, though we have a feeling the film, which is set to be directed by Charlie Matthau, may have gotten a sudden -- and considerable -- budget cut. Get More »
