Separated at birth? Long-lost twins? Vague coincidence? It's all possible when actors look so alike they could be siblings.
Is that Zachary Quinto, the Chief Science Officer of "Star Trek Into Darkness," running from the horror of "Aftershock"? Ah, no, at second glance, that's actually Quinto's doppelganger, Eli Roth, the man who gave us "Cabin Fever" and shot Hitler full o' holes in "Inglourious Basterds."
Anyway, with "Aftershock" and the new "Trek" being released back-to-back, we figured this was the perfect time to match up our favorite Hollywood doubles as they compete for roles, attention and DNA. It's like looking into a mirror! Get More »
Most of us understand that as we age, it's important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Go for a jog (or a "yog" if you're Ron Burgundy) once in a while. Maybe opt for a salad sometimes instead of a few slices of pizza. If you work at a desk, perhaps you make sure you walk around your office for five minutes every hour. Feel that burn.
Then there are others who take that notion to extreme lengths, who hear "maintain a healthy and active lifestyle" and think "lift enough weights every day of my life to tear a horse in half with my bare hands and have a laughing fit in its blood." Get More »
[From MTV] With "Iron Man 3" a little more than a week away, Marvel has already given us a look at our next trip to the universe of superheroes and villains. The first teaser trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" premiered in the early hours of the morning, and even though the preview clocks in at just under two minutes, we can already see a much different adventure for the Norse god. From the moment "Thor" hit theaters two years ago, Chris Hemsworth has been a bona fide Hollywood superstar. He's made one action blockbuster after another, with "The Avengers" and "Snow White and the Huntsman" hitting theaters back to back. He's even participated in an instant cult classic with "The Cabin in the Woods." But there's still one question some fans and critics have: Can the guy actually, you know ... act?
Well, it looks like we're about to find out, because the first international trailer for his upcoming racing drama "Rush" has just arrived courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. And if director Ron Howard has anything to say about it, this is the film that's going to turn Hemsworth from action star into star, period. Get More »
Changing appearances for the sake of entertainment is nothing new in Hollywood; it's all part of the gig. But when professional heartthrob Ryan Gosling tweaks his look, disgruntled fans are going to have something to say about it.
In "The Place Beyond the Pines," Gosling sports a bleach-blond 'do for his role as a motorcycle racer-turned-bank robber. As photos started surfacing during the film's production, people were wondering what the heck was going on with his hair. Serious drama. Get More »
This week, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner reprise their beloved "Twilight" characters on screen one last time in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," the final chapter in the young-adult series based on the books by Stephenie Meyer.
Though offered a role in the 2009 smash hit space reboot, it turns out Marky Mark didn't want to be part of J.J. Abram's funky "Star Trek" bunch. Why? Well with all that Vulcan-y dialogue and wacky character names like Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, the script was just too blimey confusing for Mark Wahlberg.
During promotions for "Broken City," his latest cop-ster flick also featuring Russell Crowe with words simple enough to follow along at a table read, Wahlberg spoke with Total Film about the one that got away ... and hinted at his hopes of starring in Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII." Get More »
Director Michael Mann is known his love of extreme (and we do mean extreme) close-ups. And now he's found the perfect subject for those visual indulgences.
The "Public Enemies" director has decided that it's finally time to make another movie, and while it doesn't have a title yet, it does have an A-list leading man: the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth, according to Heat Vision. Get More »
Last night, the
internet voting zombies people spoke and declared who and what they favored most from 2012's crop of films at the 2013 People's Choice Awards, and to the surprise of absolutely no one it was "The Hunger Games" which came out on top of the wins list.
"Hunger Games" snagged the win for Favorite Movie as well as Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise and Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. The film also garnered its now two-time Oscar-nominated leading actress Jennifer Lawrence a win for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism, which was great because her speech was - per usual - completely adorable. The new year is fast approaching and, on the Internet, that means just one thing: Time to put together some top 10 lists.
