Ridley Scott defined sci-fi terror with 1979's "Alien," so it's only fitting that the director would redefine the genre with "Prometheus," a prequel that takes many detours into rabbit holes of philosophical pondering.
What are they pondering, exactly? Only the nature and purpose of mankind's origin, that's all. No biggie. Oh, and there's monsters! This epic stars Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and the amazing Michael Fassbender as a robot to be reckoned with.
Just because "Snow White and the Huntsman" hasn't hit theaters yet doesn't mean you can't dress the part.
No, we're not talking about sporting some crazy raven-feather coat or heavy (and unflattering) suit of armor — we're talking about snapping up some pieces from the new HSN collection, inspired by the newest fairy tale reboot and ready to be shipped directly to your home in exchange for just a few monthly payments. We know by this point that the fairest of them all was not "Mirror Mirror," and "Snow White and the Huntsman" is a different beast entirely.
This kick-butt action adventure in the "Lord of the Rings" mold follows Ms. White (Kristen Stewart) as she is tracked by a dashing Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth); he eventually aids her in a fight against the sinister Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron). "Erotica" is the stimulating new sub-series of "MTV After Hours," and host Josh Horowitz sends temperatures through the roof as he has the cast of "Snow White and the Huntsman" read select passages from E.L. James' tantalizing bestseller, "Fifty Shades of Grey." Not surprisingly, Charlize Theron adds her own blocking, Kristen Stewart delivers side commentary every fourth word or so and Sam Claflin goes for the calm and cool seduction. Meanwhile, it's all a bit too much for Chris Hemsworth, who's shocked to discover he's not really on MTV … but, rather, "Erotica."
See if you can stand it. You can pick up your own copy of "Fifty Shades of Grey" at your local bookstore — unfortunately, the "Snow White" cast doesn't provide the Audio Book recording.
Once upon a time (well, a few hours ago) in a land far, far away (London, England, to be specific), the stars of "Snow White and the Hunstman" gathered to show off their finery at the world premiere of this summer's fairy tale extravaganza.
Check out the gallery for pics of the lovely Kristen Stewart (Snow White), Charlize Theron (Queen Ravenna), Sam Claflin (Prince William), Chris Hemsworth (the titular Hunstman) and assorted friends as they walked the red carpet at Leicester Square.
